Kids will go where they want to go. In the end, coaches have very little influence on where the kid ends up. Even when they are the father figure. My father in law has been a HS head coach for decades, had 600+ athletes get football scholarships and close to a 100 NFL draft picks, won state titles, national accolades and I don't think he ever quite knew what school the top kids would end up choosing because they had so many choices. For one thing, he would never tell the kid what to do but try to give them examples of what others did before them and try to give them as much info for them to make the best decision.

It's the less talented kids that he has to work hard to get smaller schools to take a chance on. Those kids are very much influenced because they don't have a lot of options. He has to work hard to convince them to continue their education by taking a scholly at some no name school in the middle of nowhere. The coach influences that because not a lot of other people will try. For the top recruits, everybody is trying to get them to go somewhere. Everywhere they go people want to know their decision. Most of the time it's all the hangerons that try to influence them but in the end the kid makes the final choice. Mom, dad, girlfriend, homeboys, etc., may lean on them but in a lot of those cases the kid chooses opposite of them just to get away.

Kids are easily influenced. That's why they waver back and forth. You never know what will make them decide. Sometimes it's the most stupid thing to you and I but to them it can be confirmation that that's the place to be.

It is within the relm of possibility that he committed to Clemson to satisfy his hs coaches in the here and now, but could still flip back. I saw this sort of thing happen ages ago when I was in high school. Our head coach had a pipleline to and was very favorable towards South Carolina. Our prized back committed to South Carolina, which made the head coach very happy. On signing day, an UGA recruiting coordinator showed up, and the back signed with the dawgs.

It is what it is fellas. He's 18 years old. I think there is something in it though for his coach though. Did his coach go to Clemson?

This year I decided not to closely follow recruiting after what happened last year with Diggs and Agholor. Best decision ever. I don't know who this guy is or how good he is. All I know is with or without him Gator nation moves forward and wins the BCS NC game next year.

If we had fewer WRs committed and at least a middle of the road pass game we would have a much better story to tell. We're sitting on the 113th pass game with some mystery as to why we cannot pass better. Maybe some of us are reading too much into the flip.

exactly. It's not always a nefarious plot. Maybe he watched some game tape and is interested in catching some TD passes occaisionally?

I still hope he committs to UF, but we'll do fine with or with out him.

He may be back with the tiggers for now, but I don't think the staff will give up on him, they have recruited him to this point, and I don't think this is over quite yet.

Clemson's offense does not impress me nor their their passing game. FSU beat them and look what we did to them. Swap schedules with them and their passing game would not be near what it is. I am just a firm believer that the SEC will have players more battle tested than the ACC. The chance to play on national tv in the games everyone will be watching while having a chance for a National Title has to be luring. I just believe he is and will be good enough to make a name for himself at UF. If people here do not believe Peace will be throwing the ball more next year, think again. Once Peace has the receivers he needs, WATCH OUT! And with the backs we have coming in, play action will be a mo fo.

I just looked at Clemsons roster and after next year, their qb situation does not look impressive to me. A 3 star SO and a 2 star frosh with no qb commitments for next year.I have to be missing something here.

They threw a lot more than we did this season. But we won, and they didn't. So I am always a bit suspect when a guy chooses numbers over W's.

MIght be why Clemson always looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

Our O will only get better and with the future looking bright at QB, the recievers who want W's will come.

Money talks, everything else walks, I bet he ends up with the Clems. You have a former Bam as coach, at a win at all cost program which has historically cheated without repercussions. See Charley Pell, Danny Ford, and Tommy Bowden, all caught cheating at that program.

I just got berated by some newbie a$$wipe for my use of the word "you're" versus "your," because of my own bad editing. It wasn't even a typo - I changed my entire sentence (almost) and some clown thought I didn't even know the difference between the two words.....
