Campbell has been hobnobbing with the Clemson coaches. I'm with you. I'll bet he's going to get some kind of position at Clemson in the near future.

It's a good thing there is a dead period...didn't you say stop with the BS about payments or benefits by schools? Recruiting is a dirty business and has been perfected at the college level...and it has reached the kids in junior high...there is too much money at stake and lets face it...its usually about the money.

This is BS. These recruits would make great politicians the way they flip-flop.

I have a relative that teaches at the school, says the coach has been pushing Robinson to Clemson from the beginning. I dont know the dirty details behind it and he wont talk. He is actually very neutral for some crazy reason he is a ND fan. But he said that Robinson is happiest when he talks about UF to him. He tried to get him to look at ND, but his coach nixed that idea over the weekend. How does a coach allow one school to come in and talk but tell the other school no? He said he wouldnt be suprised if he flips again.

I thought there was an issue with top recruit in the country being forced to Clemson by his HS coach in Georgia. Is this normal for HS coaches to play that big of a role in kid's college choice. Smells dirty to me and it has for years with Clemson!

The coach is not his dad. It does not matter if the coach was paid off. Robinson should tell him to F off. It would only make sense for Robinson to suddenly switch back to Clemson if they paid him, not his coach.

I don't know where he WANTS to play college ball but the bottom line, just like Clemmons is, let the young man play where he wants and let it be his decision. If, and that's IF, his HS coach is steering him or pressuring him to go anywhere, he needs to be excused from being a high school coach and go to college where he can recruit. I'm tired of seeing kids be used by people of influence in their lived regardless of their college choice. It's about as low as it gets.

Just because a coach wants a kid somewhere doesn't necessarily mean he is dirty. Don't know about this case at all, but often the coaches are looking out for these kids and trying to direct them, especially for some who don't have much guidance at home.

Yes, that is true in some cases, absolutely.
But at what poiny does the coach stop giving input? How far should it go?
IMO, once a young man chooses a school, the parents and coaches need to back off and respect his opinion. I always felt that part of the process of maturing into an adult is being allowed to make choices and live with the results unless they are life threatening.
Given how recruiting works in today's environment, it would be naive to think coaches that push THAT hard don't have an alterior motive. It would also be jumping to conclusions to assume they are "dirty". Only time will tell I guess.

Plus Robinson's mom was on campus talking about e rolling in classes this weekend. Obviously she liked UF or that wouldn't be happening

I know high school kids can be dumb, but I don't think any of them are that dumb.
Maybe the kids like wearing orange jerseys

Of course she liked it. Compared to Clemson, UF looks like Harvard.

I just can't believe that a kid flips to UF, comes to UF on an OV, visits with the academic advisor, and then switches back to Clemson because his coach said so. I feel like his grades had to play an issue in this.

It's easy to chuck the ball around when you play Wake, Maryland and Duke.

Something is fishy with Clemson recruiting.
You go where you want kid. Go ahead and go to Clemson where you will never have a chance to win anything.

This seems to make the most sense.
