The true measure of this staff will be when Urban's talent is gone. The majority of our stars this year were Urbanites.

Come on. Don't start that "living off the last coach's players" crap. That's just as idiotic as saying Meyer lived off Zook's recruits. So, are you saying that Muschamp can't recruit? If so, ESPN and Rivals don't agree with you.

Let's not forget that a good majority of the kids Muschamp brought in contributed a good amount. Morrison, Fowler, Bullard, Jones, Humphries, etc etc. Freshmen, ahead of Urban's recruits.

Actually half the starters were Muschamps boys playing as freshmen and sophomores. They are what this team needed to catch fire. most of meyers picks from 3 years ago transferred or were kicked out...

He is from Mainland. They have always been FSU scuzzballs. Surprised we even offered since he would have had academic troubles at a real school.

Even worse for Powell is he now has to give up the 2 inches and 5 lbs Gatorcountry loaned him while he was committed.
The recruit list shows him at 6-2, 195 and Andew's story on his decommitment says he's 6-0, 190.
Decommitments suck for everyone involved.

Yeah I didn't give Muschamp full credit for the 2011 class because Meyer got most of them, but Muschamp deserves credit for keeping most of them. If Muschamp had been able to recruit the 2011 class, we'd be even better

About the powell like mentality
In my day, and I am much older than most who post here, players went to a school they have always routed for rather than a school that promises little to no competition and early playing time. Injuries happen and player development can vary considerably in spite of the ****'s a player has. Depth is the key issue.
Muschamp is looking for heart and character and the will to blend and improve as a person and student and team player. What's wrong with that? Guess it's hard for a 17-18 year old to understand that a commitment is one's word and bond without fear of hard work and real competition. Many high schools just promote entitlement so the jump to D1 ball can be a real shocker.

og8trz..are you kidding me? We have the #1 recruiting team in the nation according to ESPN nad we're in the top five everywhwere else. WM is getting the players he wants but no one ever gets everyone they want, including Bama.

Come on. Let's not stoop to that. There is something strange going on with him. It may be that the coaches let him know that they like someone else more. He told Scout that he had felt that he was "disappointing" the UF coaches and that he would still consider UF "if offer still exists" when he makes his final decision.

Assuming Jenkins comes back...we know Rolin is redshirting.. What do our #'s look like at true LB (W, M, S)?

Powell was really thin when I saw him this yr. Made me wonder how much of a OLB project he would have been moving from hs DE. He is hoping for offers now that he announced his availability.

Powell is a good kid seems he just wanted more attention. He was looking around so was the staff and the staff found someone that wouldn't look around. I wish Powell the best because the schools he wants to go to he cant commit to right now.

No hard feelings. Sometimes kids know that their shining moments will only happen in college and they want to be "the man" at the school they choose. Good luck Mr. Powell
