Asiantii Woulard Decommits from USF
So, the number 1 dual threat QB just broke off from USF as a result of Skip Holtz being fired. Since the QB we currently have is 3 Star Pro Style QB Max Staver, I was wondering if we're going to go after this guy with a fierceness. Florida was one of the possible choices for him, and he is from Winter Park. I think we've taken a few guys from there before.

The #1 dual threat QB was gonna go to USF? That tells me his grades are not as good as his athletic ability.

I think that UF is solid with Staver this cycle, and we are banking on getting Will Grier in the 2014 class. Many think that if he commits he will be the future at that position.

As far as I know, his grades are fine.
We were in it for a very short time long ago, but he decided to pull the trigger for USF... But he is from the area and didn't want to leave home.
If UF didnt have Driskel/Brissett and FSU didn't just get Jameis Winston, he would already be committed to either.
And for what it's worth, I believe Woulard is a TON better than Staver. But I just don't see them pursuing another QB, or telling the QB we already have to kick rocks for another guy...
BUT Grier is better than both. Let's not rock the boat. Grier would be coming in at a _perfect_ time to take over for Driskel, who will be leaving.

Pease and CWM asked him to come throw at camp. He said he would then decided not to because he felt he was Florida's 8th choice. The family felt that the next year when Florida got their first choice Ashanti would never get a real shot.
Florida then took Starver and they are not going to take another QB in 2013.

I think Woulard is a guy who looks better in the camps than he performs in actual games. For the "#1 dual threat QB" recruit in the nation, his offer sheet is very weak.

I believe he was interested in Tennessee previously. Charlie Strong and Woulard bring the spread to Knoxville?

Please remember that this is the guy who put a vid on YouTube of him stomping on a Gator jersey after we didn't offer him early on.

"he is from the area and didn't want to leave home"---the drive from WP to Tampa isn't much shorter than the trip to UF, I doubt that had any bearing
"ton better than Staver"----He led a decent program (frequent playoff team) with some quality athletes to a 3 win season, and they struggled to score points all year long. He simply isn't a good QB right now. Athletic for sure, but he has never produced in game action.
I believe he also broke his ankle in their final game.

Mr Grier please. IMO he is our best bet and will come in at a perfect time.

Grier is the guy from North Carolina that threw for 800+ yards for 10 TDs this year. Supposed to be a very complete dual threat guy.
