As to Billy, he's a very well paid employee and not likely to buck expansionary plans of the powers that be. Even if he does in his heart think this is a good plan, as a long time paying customer I reserve the right to ask for good reasons justifying it. Recruits doesn't cut it. Got any others?

I have been a season ticket holder for ever, and I am tired of knees banging into my kidneys. I am all for chairbacks down low. They won't affect my decision to sit or stand.

As am I, and of course I don't like knees in my back. However, I do like the pressure cooker atmosphere of that many seats close to the floor full of people not in relaxation mode. I also like not getting ticket prices jacked up to make the game day atmosphere worse. There are plenty of chairbacks available in levels 2 & 3 if comfort is that important.

for hoops, at least, providing chairbacks in the rowdies section is probably a waste of money.
i'm not rich enough to sit low - [ except for a women's bb game - i don't mind the bench seats at all, btw,...] so i sit up high in chairbacks. chairbacks don't inhibit me in the least on cheering and making noise. if you're pre-disposed to sit, you'll sit; if you're pre-disposed to cheer, you'll be up cheering.

So, were the renovations approved? I believe the article pointed to a vote this past week.

Yes. Now they need to raise $40m on top of the $10m approved.

Nicer facilities ABSOLUTELY make an impact to recruting. Walk in and see a dump and it could be the defining factor. But no, I'm sure no recruit has ever walked in and said, this place is not very impressive, so I am going elsewhere. That never happens, does it? Or, wow, this place looks awesome, I would love to see myself playing here...
Recruits more than cut it as they are the life blood of any program. So if it is important to recruiting and important according to Billy, then all you got is it's not justified to you...Got anything else other than that?

I sit in Level 1 Section F row 4 and have had season tickets there since Dwayne S was a freshman. The most recent "upgrade" was a downgrade and I'm guessing the next one will be even worse for me.

Give the place a paint job, hang new drapes, a little stonework at the gates, and make the home locker room really cool. Please don't put chairbacks on level 1 and please don't raise ticket prices...... much.

I would agree about leaving the bleachers for the students. Also agree about not raising prices...
