Hurricanes lost to FGCU
Miami lost to Florida Gulf Coast, a school in only their second year of being an NCAA team. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=323180526
That is all.

Actually, it's their second year of tournament eligibility, not their second year in existence.

Whoops, sorry. I guess I misread the ESPN article. Still impressive though.

Currently a student at FGCU right now, Go Eagles! Guess I should have gone to the game tonight.
It's amazing how competetive FGCU is in Div 1 in only their second year. They have a lot of good teams, Basketball, Baseball, Swimming.... Definitely an up and coming program.

WOW! I had a meeting last night or would have gone, both the FGCU men's and women's teams have a great following, the stands are full of snowbirds, it is kind of funny, the women's team has had the most success but the men have a 2nd year coach, and almost won the A-Sun tourney last year to make the dance.

Miami lost an exhibition game to St. Leo here in Dade City a couple weeks ago. Miami is going to have a long season it looks like.

I think so. But our last women's game against them was down there in the NIT that I seem to remember we won.

He's actually doing well at Miami. He averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game last season, and has averaged a double-double so far this season (although not far into the season).
He's the bright spot for the UM squad, and may earn himself a spot on an NBA roster

I think Miami is an ACC favorite to make the NCAAs & they have a pretty good coach.
It's too bad Florida doesn't play the Canes in basketball!
