Don't Worry Too Much If We Miss on Tunsil...
I'm no scout, but I just watched him in person play a much smaller Navarre team. Not exactly impressive. To summarize:
1. Very good when only responsible for blocking the guy in front of him, esp if said guy is 100 lbs less than him. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll be able to simply sit on top of Alabama Dlinemen.
2. OK on run blocking, OK on pass protection. Often would pull out on a run and be the lead blocker while letting smaller LBs knife in behind him and allow the RB to be stopped in the backfield. On rollouts, often could not find his man to block, same on screen passes-often missed blocks to allow small defenders free access to the QB and RB.
3. This and the next point really bothered me. Despite easily beating the Dlineman in front of him, he seemed to get really frustrated, esp when they fell behind 21-0. One time, saw him basically kicking a player when he was down and "gave him the business", then the very next play, was called for unsportsmanlike conduct for doing similar stuff on the Navarre sideline.
4. Finally, after losing to Navarre, I noticed he was off by himself when both teams lined up at midfield to shake hands. The Navarre players had to actually go out of their way to go over and pat him on the back or handshake, and he really seemed kinda...odd. I mean, I'm sure every Tiger was upset with losing, but this was bordering on bad sportsmanship.
In summary, I went to the game to see the guy and maybe even root for him while playing my local team, but I came away thinking it's fine if he goes elsewhere. My nephew plays college football as an Olineman, lost in the State Finals to UF's own Juice Johnson on a heartbreaking play in high school, so I know how players should behave and perform at this stage of their careers. Tunsil left me a little wary, strange for a #1 recruit at their position.

Was this the first time you have watched him? I wonder if he just had a bad game. A lot of big programs really want him. I do not believe he he is that interested in us anyway.

It must be the size thing, because he really does tower over everyone else on the field. I could spot him walking off the bus. A giant among men.
And he didn't exactly have a bad game. He kicked the azz of whomever was directly in front of him. But it was relatively easy for the smaller, quicker defenders to knife in behind him while he was leading the charge. I guess I was expecting more technique from the guy; instead, I saw him literally fall on top of his man and sit on him, over and over. I don't think he'll be able to do that at the next level.

Being flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, not finding blocks, and technique were described in the post. Those were during, not after the loss. Obvious troll is being obvious.

Maybe I didnt use the right word I was basically asking if Art didnt want him because of his attitude. Because the missing blocks means absolutely nothing. It is high school football. This is the second Olinemen people have said they didnt want Florida to get in a week. Somebody said they did not like Rod Johnson.
Tunsil had great feet and a great frame to add more weight. He is more ready to play than DJ was out of high school. OL in a developmental position it takes time and good coaching. If his head is in the right place he should start as a sophomore

Interesting observations, but it seems like preemptive sour grapes. Every one who has posted with close personal observations has been very positive about him. A close friend of mine brought her son (an OL prospect) down to UF for Junior Day and got to meet Tunsil and his family. Said that he was a very respectful young man and very affable with his campmates. A classmate of his chimed in recently saying that he's a life-long, die-hard Gator fan who knows that he will mature more during his college years if he gets away from the Gainesville area. I think we should just write him off and be happy with what we get. If by some miracle he does sign with the Gators, it's great news, but there's no point in following his recruitment closely and less point in bad-mouthing him.
I will say that the OP made some legitimate observations, but it's a small sampling of his play and behavior over his career.

"Because of his attitude after a loss"?????
You said you read his post, but that is hard to believe. He went into detail about his actual playing performance, and some penalty/attitude issues during the game. How did you miss all of that and only notice the "attitude after a loss"?
