Pictures from the USS Bataan
Remember the USS Bataan is the site for the Gators first game against Georgetown.
The University got a tour of the "boat" today and met the captain and everything. Gatorzone (of course) was there to capture it...

$1k for tix turned me off re this game. I was excited when it was announced, but that price is silly. I'm sure I'll come around by game time and cheer the boys on via tv, but at the moment I'm still dissappointed.

But you get seats to the Jags game too! ::sarcasm::
I know its frustrating, but they will sell out. Remember there won't be as many seats as a typical arena game.

My last duty station was the Bataan. I transferred in March right after our 11 month deployment. Good ship, sucks they do this after Im gone though. The Executive Officer is a Gator fan to by the way.

I have a stupid question since I did not get to see any of last year's carrier game: I assume they are playing this outside on a temporary court/stands set up on the main deck, correct? If so, do they have a rain date? What if the weather is fine except for 25 mph winds? That could make for some interesting outside shooting.

Fortunately, winds look very tame for the forecast tomorrow night, Weatherground is showing temp. around 55 at game time, so it will be chilly.
