Here is a live video stream for the Manatee/Palmetto game for anybody outside the Tampa Bay Area. Both teams are 7-0 and Manatee is ranked #1 Nationally by 7 of the 9 polls that rank national high school football.

Trinity Christian is beating Yulee 21-2 at halftime
Derrick Henry has been absolutely stuffed. His longest run is about 7 yards. If I had to guess I'd say he has about 30-40 yds on 25-35 carries
Nick Washington has a TD run of 55 yards and another long run of about 40 yards, also has a catch for about 40 yards. On D he has two pass break ups (both should have been INTs) and a few tackles. He stood up Henry in the hole too. It was great to see.
Go Gators!

N Washington is a great athlete! I expect him to be on the field quite a bit. Just the type of player to be a special teams beast.

Manatee 62 Palmetto 0 halfway through the 4th quarter.
Bet Palmetto's head coach won't run his mouth next year.

Do you know if we went after that guy?
Maybe we still got a chance.

I wish we would have gone after him but he didn't fit our system. I have a feeling if we had gone after him we would have had a good chance because his father played baseball for UF. As a matter of fact the concensus of opinion is baseball is Cords future. He is not the kind of drop back passer the NFL is looking for but he is the kind of center fielder MLB is after. Some think if he goes high enough in the MLB draft Miss State will never get him on campus.

Update on the Trinity-Yulee game. Trinity won 42-22 (or something like 41-21 can't remember exactly)
Nick had two more long TD runs and a 50+ yd pick 6.
Henry picked it up in the second half he had 3 TDs but still only had one really impressive run. He's going to struggle at the next level when he's not just bigger than everyone on the field. Great athlete though, not sold on RB.

He's pretty good.. I've only seen him play a few times but ill have more to share later in the year. As we all know he has great speed. But he reads the ball off the bat really well in the outfield. He's been so-so at the plate from what I've seen but when he gets on base he's dangerous. IMO his future is in football.

N.Washington is a high character kid as well. Our paths cross fairly regularly. I've always been impressed. The kid can't wait to get to Gainesville, and recently accepted an invite to play in the U.S. Army All American game.
So glad to hear that he stood Henry up last night. Nothing against Henry. Just hope that this is a sign of things to come for Nick at the next level.
In Christ forever,
Mike
