Since speculation is allowed: I'm gonna say it's Harris and Anzalone, with Notre Dame asking Anzalone not to go public until they've had a chance to talk him out of it. Dawson has until the SoCar game to commit, where at that point, Denson will be given the green light on his OV that weekend, IF Dawson hasn't popped.
On a side note, Kelsey Griffin, who we were also recruiting, committed to SoCar after the game on Saturday, which makes me wonder if Adams or Gilmore didn't commit to us.

Yeah, it's going to be a great class, but I want Adams. That's where we've come up short the last few years. We need real DTs, guys who can project at the one or three technique. We've got enough big DEs. This class is sick with LBs, DBs and DEs. And then we have Brantley. If we got Adams, it might not matter who else we got on defense.

Agree wholeheartedly. Getting Adams, even though he's only one guy, could literally be the difference between a championship run in either 2013 or 2014 or just a 9 win season.

Agreed. Sometimes it just takes that one guy to tip the scales. He has future 1st rounder written all over him.
It's so crazy how we snuck in there. A few weeks _nobody_ had him on our radar. But wow, what a great win can do for the program. We have a very legitimate shot to land him.
Ogundeko is coming for an OV too. I still think we could sign him.
That's 2 guys to end our DL recruiting for the year. Pass on everyone else. I don't think anyone would be upset.

We are sitting on 19 right now.
I think we'll add Trenton Brown as our OT and I think Denson will flip before Dawson will, but in the end, I don't think it'll matter.
So that's 21.
I am feeling pretty good about Ogundeko. Always have. He can play Buck, and if it turns out that we don't need him there, we can slide him in as a LB. Makes him versatile.
So, 22.
Marcell Harris is a Gator, imho.
23.
So at this point there is 2, very possibly 3, even an amazing 4 spots left... depending on kids graduating, leaving early for the NFL, early enrollee's, transfers, etc. etc. etc.
With the few spots we have left, I think we wait it out. Most of the kids we are targeting at this point are already committed somewhere else anyways. And flipping kids can sometimes take time.
I think Adam's has a spot no matter what. We will wait on him till NSD, I think. I like Gilmore, but I don't think he has much of a chance with Adams entering the picture.
But anyways, we potentially have 3-4 spots for Derrick Dawson, Jalen Ramsey, Marquez North, Demarcus Robinson, Alex Collins, Alex Anzalone, Montravius Adams, etc.
I'd take any combo of Adams + 2/3.

what? If Gilmore wants in the coaches are going to take him.
What is interesting is Ogundeko. I think the coaches would like to take Daniel instead if his grades are good enough.
We are at 20 if he count Moore

Watching this recruiting class reminds me of grilling.
Juices running, the cracking noise, flames searing the meat. It looks so tasty but i can't have it just yet bc it needs to be just right at the end.
Edit: oh yeah and the char marks made a perfect square pattern on both sides

I don't know man. Gilmore has been somewhat quiet. Wasn't nearly as pumped as I'd thought he'd be after that LSU game. Our time of taking any recruit who wants to commit has come and gone in this cycle.
I mean, it's a no-brainer between Adams and Gilmore. And I am not so sure I would take Gilmore before say... Dawson... or Ramsey.
Also, I don't believe Moore counts towards this years class number. He counts as a spot on the roster... which adversely affects how many people we can take. But generally speaking, Moore doesn't really have to come into the numbers.

yeah but the 85 is what we are worried about nothing else since we will have some EE.
Gilmore enjoyed his time and he liked the fact we had some NC boys. He is a take and he will make his decision in November.

To me, personally, I think he is eyeing more playing time at LSU. But that spot we be all the more valuable when he is ready to decide. The next couple of weeks should be fun to watch. I am thinking big news the day/night of the South Carolina game. If we do happen to keep playing well and get a W from South Carolina, then that's light speed momentum, we'll clean up.

Even if we didn't add a single player onto this class, I would be more than content. Every need is filled already and now we're just piling on. Getting guys like Ramsey, Anzalone, and Adams would just be icing on the cherry on the icing of the cake.
