Why did he want to go to OSU.

Maybe because the last LB OSU recruited from Florida is having a great career there. It's not my favorite school, but the way people talk about here, you'd think it was f$u. It's a pretty nice campus, a very good school and they did win a few games this year.

Nice one... can nearly be said for all positions, excellent recruiting pull. And now with Joker in the mix, go get 'em

Still listed as a soft commit on some sites. Does he need to firm up, or did he have permission to take visits?
Still don't like the term "soft" commit. I prefer "flaccid." That's make 'em think twice about being indecisive.

Rarely visit their site, but I probably did a drive by in the last week. Mostly rely on 247, Rivals and espn. 247 also lists commits as either hard or soft but they don't change a kid's status just because he takes a couple of visits. I think the last time I posted anything on this issue was around signing day last year because we had so many commitments who were up in the air near signing day. That's when I first suggested the use of "flaccid."

About recruiting
I guess I've been around long enough to see player after player, who loved UF their entire lives, go someplace else because of a particular coach or early PT or whatever.
We used to have rosters full of loyal players who would never play anywhere else but UF. But today, too many recruits commit and then visit other schools---they say for the fun trips--but too many switch and leave us in a bind.
Meyer and Saban are great recruiters, and any of our commits who visit OSU or Bama or any other SEC school would be in jeopardy to lose, no matter how cold it is elsewhere.
Any of our commitments will be beseiged by other SEC coaches who want to cherry pick and win them over, as we do theirs. It's just the way this recruiting mindset is going these days. Can we really expect a 17-18 year old to be mature and experienced enough to commit and keep their word without our continuous attempts to keep them committed?
