Something's amiss. Sounds like he knows Denson isn't coming, an he wants to join his boy in Tally. Gave the coaches a heads up as well.

all of our committed players give the coaches a heads up if they are going to visit another school. Still think he sticks but Ira and Caleb really want to play together.

I do not have good feelings about this kid. Great player. But if he isn't committed, he shouldn't commit. It's plain and simple. Yes, I'm happy when players flip to our team. But in all honesty, I think it's lame when a team reserves a spot for you, then you leave.

We'll see but maybe we take Denson in the end to get a pretty good OG and great(potentially) DT?
Wondering if Caleb's position is based on other DTs staff might be looking at.... Maybe it's not so much us looking at other DTs because Brantley's leaving, but expecting Brantley to leave because we have other DTs that want to commit? Well, I wish anyway. At least that way we're in the driver's seat.
I think Caleb's been put off by staff's evaluations and subsequently putting his friends lower on the board and perhaps that's what's showing here- more loyal to his friends than the coaches at this point.

Right or wrong, he wasn't thrilled about the way things went down with Tre Bell either.

Considering our relative issues at the DT position recently (couple of juniors who might leave, no true DTs signed in 2011, no huge studs brought on campus in 2012, etc.), there's an argument that Brantley is the most important recruit in our class.
So, you know, losing him would kind of suck.

Yeah he trashed us a bit there. I like this kid for his ability, but I do not like him for his personality. I'd rather have that guy that was considering LSU. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I don't want kids like that representing our team

yes you are in the minority because Florida needs more than one DT in the class

Brantley has been wishy washy for awhile now. He is at a position of need, but I hope he understands that if the staff can get some other guys to fill the need, and he is out visiting other schools, and his spot gets filled by another, then I hope his buddies that he likes to base all of his decisions on can get him in the door at another school. It just sounds to me like he is looking for a reason to decommit and go to another school.

FSU would gladly take him and so would about every other school. His spot is not going anywhere he knows this.

I understand our need for interior linemen; I would just rather have a different one. He's a great one, but I wish someone would clean him up a bit

Could Gilmore play DT? I'm guessing he's being recruited there. I'd really like to get him in this class

he could play DE/DT but do you think he is going to be a nose ? Gilmore is still 50/50 with LSU and Florida and you still need a guy like Caleb in this class

How are Williams and Mann progressing? We took a lot of Dlinemen last year. Are they all keepers?

dont think he has made a trip to FSU yet but of course he will be at the Gator game this weekend like always. He says he is going to the Florida vs FSU game which makes sense
