2012 Class Ranked #7 per Collegiate Baseball
Article on Gatorzone with the entire ranking list. Good job by Sully and all the coaches to fill out a good class after so many were drafted. He expects freshmen to produce, so we'll see how they look in Fall ball.

Here is the list from an earlier thread that I think is accurate. It has 11 recruits, including Andrades, but it doesn't name the transfer. I'll bet someone knows who that is.
Raphael Andrades OF 6-1 190 R R Lincoln Tallahassee FL - Did not sign (36th round)
Gerald Bautista 3B 5-11 190 R R Steinbrenner Lutz FL - Not drafted
Jason Carmichael RHP 6-3 170 R R Mariner Cape Coral FL - Not drafted
Parker Danciu LHP 6-4 215 L L West Boca Delray Beach FL - Not drafted
Christian Dicks OF 6-2 190 L L Providence Jacksonville FL - Not drafted
Eric Hanhold RHP 6-4 175 R R East Lake Palm Harbor FL - Did not sign (40th round)
Richie Martin MIF 5-10 170 R R Bloomingdale Brandon FL - Did not sign (38th round)
Brady Roberson 3B 5-11 190 R R Palm Beach Central Royal Palm Beach FL - Not drafted
Tucker Simpson RHP 6-7 220 R R Oxford Oxford AL - Not drafted
Kevin Stypulkowski C 6-2 200 S R The Kings Academy Lake Worth FL - Not drafted
Mike Vinson RHP 6-4 205 R R Christopher Columbus Miami FL - Not drafted

Freshman All-American in 2011. Interesting addition.

We need as much help as we can get from the newcomers. Here's hoping there's some instant impact talent in this group.

Do we expect to be in Omaha this year?

Omaha 4 years in a row is hard for any team. Stick to the plan of the past 4 years and we should host a regional. After that, anything can happen.

We lost as much experience as any college baseball team in history, and that's probably not an exaggeration. So Omaha might not be a realistic expectation this year.
That being said, if Karsten Whitson is healthy, a 1-2 of him and Crawford gives the Gators a puncher's chance in any series they play.

I'm with DoubleDown. If things break right in the rotation (Crawford consolidates his gains, Whitson stays healthy), we'll be dangerous as all hell in a short series.
That said, and again agreeing with DD, we need to keep expectations relatively low this year. This won't be a reprise of 2006 and 2007, but look at the truly staggering amount of talent we lost and look at what we're using to replace that group of players. Hosting a regional is going to be a successful season in 2013.
O'Sullivan will never say this, nor should he, but failing to win a title with the talent that just left is going to keep him up at night for a long time.

A completely out-of-thin-air bit of speculation:
C: Gushue
1B: Ramjit
2B: Turgeon
SS: ?
3B: Tobias
LF: Shafer
CF: Thompson
RF: ?
Turgeon apparently played a little shortstop in high school, so he might be an option there.
I suspect Harrison Bader will get a shot at right field, though I admit I know next to nothing about Bader beyond the broad strokes.

There was a quote from Sully a few months back saying that he expected Richie Martin to start. I don't know if it's determined who will play short and who will play 2nd, but he and Turgeon will be the double play combo.

Ouch. I also saw where Sully expected Martin to start so he must be a real talent. I think Powers is going to be a factor if he's recovered from his shoulder injury. He impressed me with his raw skills what little he played as a freshman.
