Was Tebow helping Meyer recruit?
New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow reportedly ate four heaping dishes in one meal at a New Jersey Italian restaurant while his former college coach asked him for some recruiting help.

Worse than useless. I got a "Reported Attack Page" message when I clicked on the link.

I would hope that Tebow would say no.

Well, it does say: "While Meyer, his old college coach, pitched Tebow on the idea of helping him recruit for the Buckeyes, the devout diner focused on the food, "

I hope Tebow told him with all due respect..."As much as I'd love to help you Urbs, I'm a Gator and your team is Gator Bait. I can't help you recruit our food I can only help it get eaten."

If TT does help to recruit for UM, it will get out. No way can a recruit keep that quiet. UM is showing his true colors more and more every day, every day. I doubt TT would do such a thing and for UM to use their frienship in this manner is sickening. However, I could see very easily as this being bs and until UM, TT or a recruit say it is so, I will treat it as so. Every day, every day.

I would like to think the two were close and dine together on occasions. I mean, most of us do fraternize with old coaches as they were mentors to us and remain important to us, and we always look up to them. However, if he does ask, it's ALL on Urb. Urb used his starters to teh max, often at the costs of his subs who showed hardly any development and play-time. , In my opinion, his methods cost TT immeasurably by him continuing to depend on TT throughout games, even when we had leads and TT was in poor condition. So why wouldn't he check to see if he could use TT now, just for show & Tell. Before, it was TT's career and physical condition throughout his life. Theres no way TT could tell him no if asked.

This wouldn't be the first time Meyer tried to use his Gator connection to help Ohio State recruit:
Meyer used his recruiting ties developed while employed at UF to lure Noah Spence, one of our biggest targets, to Ohio State last year.
Meyer uses his ties with a former UF player (Ryan Stamper), to lure current UF commit, Daniel McMillan, in for a OSU visit this year.
Douche. Bag.

It sounds like that reporter might have embellished just a tad bit. Now if the reporter got a secret recording of Meyer asking Tebow's help on recruiting, that would be something else. But there is absolutely no evidence Meyer asked Tebow for help on recruiting. Just a bunch of hearsay, BS.
