Strange Rectangular Box Appearing

This dialogue type box is populated with seemingly random letters.

Now, I can type fine here and on my AOL emails. But, when I try typing on Facebook this odd box appears and half the letters I type are wrong.

Earlier today I had to reset my AOL password and...on the screen for me to do so...this strange, rectangular box appeared again.

It has some circular logo on the far left with an orangish flare coming off it.

Any idea as to what is going on?

I just ran a full scan using Microsoft Essentials and it found no problems.

A Friend had a similar problem.

It was a program from AOL called - Data Mask. It's purpose is to encrypt date. He deleted it and now his system works fine
