Most certainly his decision could change, and I myself have no problem with what Tunisl has done in the recruiting process either, but IMO, that isn't what this is about.
Unless Saban does something wrong, Tunsil will turn his nose up to UGA end up at Bama IMO.
Late in the process, if it comes down to bringing in someone else perhaps not as highly ranked as him as opposed to waiting on him to make a decision, I'd go with the kid we could definitely get.
The thing is here, the odds are very, very much against him coming to UF.

Lake City Columbia has not been good for Florida over the years. You would think we would get a good share of players from there but that is not the case. I wonder what LT will think when Georgia or Bama recruits a top OT next year. Dude competition will be there anywhere he goes.

Tunsil is in my class and I talk to him alot. He has consistently worn Gator stuff and talks good about them, but he also does the same for georgia. Just hearing him and my teacher talk(which is also his OL coach) he disliked his visit to Alabama, and UF and Georgia are on par with each other. I don't know how much it helps, but this is my personal insight.

Just remind your classmate to follow his dream. If he always wanted to be a Gator, do it. A Dawg, whatever. For a guy with his talent, there are no bad choices. Talented players from Vandy go to the NFL, for goodness sake.
But it needs to come from the heart. I ended up going to a school I had no real connection to, instead of going to my first choice (money/scholly issues). Tunsil has none of that to worry about.

Thats exactly what I told him. He's a really nice guy, very down to earth for somebody with as much talent as he has. But he likes gator nation! If I remember right he grew up a gator fan. So don't rule him out just yet!

Dawg vs. Gator ? Seriously ? I mean, somebody could actually contemplate Jawja over the Gators ? That is an impossible postulate for thinking people.
Tell him Gator Nation would love to have him and believe you me, he will play and play quickly. There is a place for him here, with much Gator love.

GatorCountry is the best Gator Sports board, and also the most conservative.

Interesting. He was one recruit I didn't consider when thinking of the impact that game could have had on our weekend visitors.
