Neither. If DH can't play RB after all then he had his shot and you find another position for him. But if it actually helped secure Tunsil then you have the stud OT you need and either a big basher of a RB or he plays another position.

Tunsil either wants to be a Gator or he doesn't. He shouldn't base it on what DH does.

I'm officially over it too. Come to play at Florida or don't, but just shut up about it and go on with your recruitment.
Georgia sucks and at Bama you will be another faceless nameless lineman.

I'll tell you what stinks about this whole thing: All of these kids were once Gator fans and now they are not.
Henry- Gator fan not even being recruited by UF anymore.
Tunsil- Bama or UGA
Jernigan- Gator fan growing up and now a nole.
That trio has successfully raised the ire of gator fans by not coming to UF. I'm not saying let's bash them, just saying that this is why it hurts.
And I think Tunsil is mentioning Gainesville High School in the interview, I believe he was scouting them through Derrick as a future high school opponent.

You do realize it is the media constantly asking him that is making him talk... If we didn't keep asking every 5 sec, he would be very content finishing off his HS season and worrying about it when his season is done. He's 18. If you can't post something positive about a talented kid who is about to make the biggest decision of his life, just ignore the post. Who's bein more immature?

You, me, and the rest of us feel that way. But recruiting is somewhat a game and as we all know the decisions some of these kids make do not seem to make sense, to us.
But, nonetheless, if I were a highly regarded teenager being recruited by multiple staffs and one tells me "we want you at this position regardless" and several others say "of course we will let you try to play the position you want to" then who do you think I'm going to "trust" the most?
Now I'm not privied to what went on in private and maybe the only way to keep our RBs was not to accept a commit from DH at RB. But I don't know that, just speculating that we could have had three RBs in this class knowing DH probably won't be able to be a full time go to RB in college. But so what, a lot of players don't pan out and DH would likely be the first to admit his future is at a different position. And, not to give Tunsil credit over the staff but as he said DH did run for 300+ yards in the referenced game. Assuming he plays against decent competition he could probably also run over a few people in college as well.

And o line at Bama is not just faceless names. They get names like Barrett Jones and two others mentioned at every sporting news show in the country mentioned with 1st or 2nd round NFL draft pick. And that's another reason why he is considering them. But you'll have to wait 3 or more years before that happens there...

Big f'n deal. Percy and the Pouncy's were diehard noles. All that garbage changes when offers are extended and teams fit your personality.

I'll def agree to that. As of lately... (since like the Pouncey's), We have won over more commits who were fans of other programs than rather lose Gator fans to other schools. I'm not going to make a bunch of examples because I am exhausted, but I can assure you, we are winning when it comes to this battle.
It sucks losing guys like Jernigan, but hey, you win some - you lose some. If Lawson had kept his grades up and off-the-field incidents to a minimal, he would be the perfect example... An Alabama fan with a tattoo who saw a better opportunity somewhere else.

Exactly. If someone thinks we're rocking a team full of Gator fans form birth then they're mistaking.

I would let go of this one guys. Last year the coaching staff believed so much into what these recruits parents told them and we got okie doked bad. New philosophy this year, if your in, your gonna show your in and do what the staff ask you to do to make sure you have your best shot at being successful and prepared. His mom was the key factor here, wants him to stay closer to home, but he won't even put an official visit down. My golden rule is if they don't show up on campus that is as good as over with.
Not saying it's completely over, just saying the staff has no tolerance for that type of stuff this year. Seantrel Henderson, Jernigan, and the Linebacker...errr I mean running back at FSU all looked to be "kids you can't win without" but I don't see their prospective teams hurting too much.

The staff is not going to give up on him. Things can change closer to signing day. I will continue to say dont worry about him until after the season is over

Thank You GATORZ....
You are da Man...
As for recruits that are told honestly from our coaches where they would best fit in on the next level, irregardless of where they go...
No better example of it than Wilder from Tampa Plant High School.Every college coaching stafff was telling him that he ran too high and that his best shot was at linebacker.
I remember all of us on Gator Country were in an uproar when he committed to the Nolies. Mad... dissapointed, etc.
Well... look at him now... AFTER TWO YEARS at FSU.
What in the he11 has he done up there?
Nothing... except get in trouble with the law.
Would any of us want him in Orange and Blue?
Not me... and I attended Plant High School...

No 17 year old kid should ever hold our coaches hostage again. Recruit who we are recruiting and if this kid wants to join the party, fine...if we still have room and if not, we will be just fine. We see how the prima donna types turn out...not saying he is one but he needs to understand that of the 3 schools, we have the best academics and would certainly be easier on his parents, friends and relatives.

Appreciate the update, but he aint coming to UF. I can understand leaving a spot open for him late, but come close to the dead period near NSD, I would drop his spot if I could bring someone else in I could depend upon signing. That;s just me though...

We still need to change the mentality of signing a specific number of recruits...you take as many as the coach wants to take and figure it out later like Bama and USC does. USC just added Silas a couple of weeks before the season even started and they are on probation, yet somehow they can add a player they want at any time! The Noles added a TE from PSU as well and I'm sure they figured it out.

lol How do you know what he is going to do when Laremy himself does not?
For a guy like Tunsil there is no "spot". If he comes you take him and you figure out the roster spot later.

He knows what he's doing. Don't be naive.
