DieAGator we can go to 33 but my guess is we probably end up with 30 or 31. Collins is between Arky & Miami. Josh Outlaw supposedly has terrible grades and is looking at BIG12 schools but he will have to work in the summer to get in. Florida should have no decommits come signing day.

The problem is he's years behind the players he'll go up against or compete with for PT here. Wish him the best but my amateur opinion is that it's not a quality ship. Although I realize if it doesn't work out he/we make a decision down the road and replace his ship with a player more likely to excel.

Right, but filling spots with players who end up only helping out on the scout team doesn't create the kind of competition that helps us get ready for our real competition. I guess this is something I just don't understand about a balanced program. Seems to me more likely when you reach to players ranked 100th or so at a position to fill a class they don't contribute much. But yeah, I know we are in a slight hole still to get to our 85 limit.

I guess it helps a little towards bringing in EEs next class? If I am understanding correctly we have 8 EEs so if we sign 30 for example we still would have room for at least 3 EEs next cycle to count back to 2013 class?

I agree he is years behind but I am fine with that. We dont need him to come in and play right away. If he helps as a RSJR & RSSR year thats great. The talent is there and its an extra body. I dont like bringing in kids that just dont have the talent to play at a top level BCS school.

He has only played a year of organized football. I dont care about rating I look at talent.

Don't see us getting near 33. Not enough quality talent left unless we get incredibly lucky. Clark, Ramsey (or Timmons), Bostwick, Reed and Collins are the only guys we have a remote chance with. We'll be lucky to get two more and lucky not to lose anyone.

we need 7 to be full which I dont think we will get but if we got there it would be
1 Clark
2 Bostwick
3 Reed
4 Bowers
5 McEvoy
6 Ramsey
7 A mystery recruit
It is definitely possible we fill up just not probable. I do think we will get a surpirse on NSD we have gotten one the last two years.

Zach's update on Jay-nard Bostwick looks like Young will finally bring in a big time recruit
Quote:
His mother told me he had a great visit to Florida and the coaches made quite the impression on her. She said no other coach has a better relationship with her son than Bryant Young. Judging by how highly she spoke of him, he deserves a ton of credit if Bostwick joins the Gators.
She respectfully declined my interview request for her son because she doesn't want him speaking to the media at this time. He announces his decision on Wednesday and I still have him UF bound.
Her comments will be in my recruiting weekend rewind on Monday.

I've often wondered why Jay-nard Bostwick has been sooooo silent all recruiting cycle. I guess I know why now. Momma seems happy... Seems like a lock.

I am not sure he is a lock he has a lot of ties to Miami. We have won over parents before and the kids have picked the other school. I am just excited we have a real shot at landing him.

I feel ya, Tracy Howard's mom loved UF.
But out of all the guys we have who can commit between now and NSD, to me, Bostwick seems like the safest bet.

That sounds right, but I think next years class is going to be under 25 so we won't have to worry about counting as many EEs back to this year to fill up.

I saw him as low as three star with some services, but anybody following high school football in Chicago knew he was a special player. They know their LBs up here. He was a terror straight through to the state finals.
The ultimate job of a recruiter is to identify talent, then get them to commit. Young had Daniel in the bag for us. Daniel just didn't come through with his grades. If Young stays with us, he will end up making a big difference. I just hope we can keep him from going back to the NFL or to ND.

Wish Ramsey wasn't so far down that list. I guess he's not the most important, but he's the highest rated prospect we have a legit shot at. In terms of need I would rank this group like this;
1. Reed
2. Bostwick
3. Clark
4. Bowers
5. Ramsey
6. McEvoy
Can't rank a mystery recruit on this criteria without knowing what position he plays. They're certainly valuable for NSD drama.

It is crazy how a young man can workout for hours everyday, but is not willing to do the same in the class room. Daniel would have been special in Florida's system.
