AZ, from your breakdown seems like we'll be lucky to finish with Daniel and Swanson, and maybe Bostwick.
My favorite RB Collins is a long shot, eh?

I have no clue what we will finish with but that would be a great finish IMO. I think we get more than 3 commits. There could be medical hardships transfers or decommits coming. Collins is not a need plus the other schools get last visit. From the outside looking in Arkansas is a nice fit for Collins and Miami is close to home.

I can understand why we might not get him but seems like the most devastating runner in the class. An extra RB at his level seems to alleviate the need for all that defense. You get him, if possible, just because he keeps your defense off the field and scores points.

We need all that defense 3 capable RB's is enough. The staff wants a ton of people to be able to rotate in the front 7. I really like Collins just not sure it is in the cards. I wont ever count this staff out though.

He has been working as a studio analyst at CBS for the past year. I have not seen him on air; I don't think it is his long-term future. On the other hand, he is pushing 60 and has some cash in the bank, so perhaps he can retire.

Kentucky I think will surprisingly start picking up some recruits... Stoops is a hell of a recruiter, and imagine Alexander/Asiantii going there!! That's unheard of to their fans!

When people were talking about how bad that job was I said that a big name coordinator would take it and that you could get decent recruits there. Kentucky can recruit 3 stars and some 4 stars in Ohio Georgia and Florida.

For sure... Kentucky has a beautiful campus. I could see if Kentucky can wait 3-4 years them actually being a decent team going, 9-3.. But they have to let Stoops build and not be impatient..

I'm not sure I agree on the Stoops evaluation. Never considered him one of the big time recruiters in any fashion. I think he will do ok there, but I think Franklin at Vandy is a much better guy.

I don't recall Kentucky ever recruiting very well, with the possible exception of Tim Couch. The fanbase is apathetic, the football facilities are poor, and the region is local talent base is terrible. You aren't going to steal any decent players out of Georgia or Ohio. Maybe you could park in Memphis a bit, then stretch out over to the DC/Maryland area and southern PA, plus get some decent second-tier Florida kids, but the only hope you have is to run with a very unique system that enables non-traditional skill sets to excel (Mumme) or have a staff that is aces at player development (Brooks). Their only talented recruits under Brooks were kids out of Kentucky (Woodson, Peters, Woodyard) or JUCOs (Johnson) and you just can't bank on that.
