after last night I am convinced we need to flip the FB committed to LSU. Joyer gets an injury we have some real problems the FB position is pretty vital in the offense

More so than LSU's offense or need at FB position? I'm just wondering why he would flip other than he's an instate guy?

I dont know enough about him to knowing his reasons to flip. He came to the Jville game so he must be interested. I am just saying I think we need to put a full court press on him.

Yes we do! Hey I though you were going to make a new Top targets left thread? I appreciate and always look forward to your insight on the recruiting front.

just saw that Gators coaches called WR James Clark seems like that type got our attention
He has already taken an official to Purdue will go to northwestern on Dec 7th
After thinking about it I want us to take this kid. While a JUCO would help us right away I would hate to see James tear it up somewhere else. And I dont think we are getting North.

Clark might not be an instant contributor, but down the stretch, he's a can't miss type. I saw take him before NW can get their hands on him. A smart kid like him might get the idea that NW is a better place for him. I know it's different for football players, my family visited 11 campuses for our twins last year and NW put on the most impressive show. They know how to sell that school.

Florida has 21 commits right now Harris and Brown will commit so that gets us to 23. The class will probably end up at 26 or 27 so we only have 3 or 4 spots left.

After Harris and Brown......do you foresee one more of each: DL, LB, and athlete/skill?

1 skill 2 DL if we have no decommits but that's just a guess.

Thanks again. Is Trey J. giving UF a look with GC out at Auburn?

I think if we really wanted him we could get him but I dont think we really want him. That being said gator staff will visit Trey this week. Other teams visiting Trey this week are OSU and USCw. Trey still pans to visit Florida (again) Penn state and USCw. Of course he is still committed to Auburn. If we do lose a LB (the only decommit I could see happening) I would expect the staff to push hard for his services.

Hearns McMillan and Powell are the only committed players taking visits but I expect us to keep them all but would not be shocked if a flip happen.

Kind of unrelated, but concerning our QB situation, how has Skylar been doing this year? I know he's redshirting, but just overall progress-wise. Is he a viable option if the 2013 and 2014 QB's don't pan out? He looked good on film, and I'm kinda hoping he gets to start when Jeff leaves

No clue how Skylar has played, he is a smart and VERY athletic kid. That release still worries me hopefully Pease can fit that. I think he will end up battling it out with Grier (if we get him) when Jeff leaves.

All 3 are linebackers too. I would be shocked if they go somewhere else....look at our season this year. Were only gonna get tougher and better but need guys like them to keep our talent, depth and toughness in tact for the future.just my opinion

Having a good season helps but people put too much stock in that. tOSU also had a good season and they are desperate for LB help. Hearns is the one that scares me the most.

Where would you rank the three lbs in importance to the gators?
