We offered him earlier this week and now he is announcing? Tough to tell if he is dropping everything for UF or if we got in on him too late.

Obviously Champ and staff know way more than me but are they reaching a little for these 3* kids? I know the *'s don't always tell the whole story just curious on your thoughts?

He has no stars on Rivals, which means he hasn't been scrutinized like most national recruits. So I wouldn't necessarily call him a reach. Could just be an under the radar type. K. Neal was precisely that when he committed to us.

very athletic for his size and he probably can and will add weight once he gets on campus. The knee bend worries me a little so I am guessing thats why people have him projected to play guard instead of tackle. He is ranked the 27 best guard on ESPN for reference Josh Outlaw is ranked 23 so not much difference.
I said in another thread the coaches want a big line they are choosing this kid over a guy like Tyrone Crowder who is consensus top 5 guard in the nation because of height. Offensive line is one of the harder positions to project especially without Sr film. He has a big time coach and comes from a big time program. His coach thinks he will be the top linemen in Georgia this year which is real high praise. After missing on David Dawson the coaches felt this kid was a take thats all I really need to know. If they picked this kid over all the others kids they saw in camp this year they must like him a lot. I expect his rating to go up not that the coaches or I care. He will end up a 4 star

in other news Trenton Brown committed to Georgia today which was expected especially because this offer to Octavius Jackson was given earlier in the week. Florida I assume would have taken Brown over Jackson. Wonder how Tunsil feels about Brown going to Georgia he wasnt to happy about Garcia coming to Florida. Now he can no longer blame the depth chart.

Some tough folks come from SW Georgia. I once had a flat tire in Moultrie on the way to a funeral in Newton. Gonna see some friends from Edison this weekend, I'll ask if they've heard of Jackson.

They make good game cams an feeders in Moultrie. If they are any indication of the OLs they produce then he should be a good one.

My guess is not much if Tunsil is sold-on or in "love" with Georgia. Georgia brought in 3 OTs in 2011 but only one(Theus) in 2012. Doubt a JUCO in his class will deter him. Technically we had two OTs(highly ranked) 2012 and now have two in this class. If I wanted to be a dawg or a Gator I wouldn't be deterred by either depth chart.

we will see what happens do not count out Bama with Tunsil this Brown pick up by Georgia could push him to the SEC west. But like I have said before I will worry about him after the season is over with.

We've got 6 months to re-assure Adams. I think he sticks once he sees our offense with Pease at the helm.

Welcome aboard! Always nice to get more lineman. Also saw a tweet from Derek Tyson that Bama and FSU were trying to get on him in last couple days so seems we found a nice sleeper.

Yeah, they tried to get him to hold off on committing so they could evaluate him more. He plays for former (Bama powerhouse)Hoover coach Rush Propst, who might know a thing or two. Said @ 303lbs, he ran a sub 5.0, 31-inch vertical, & 9'6" inch broad jump. Propst speaks very highly of him.

So he's 300+ lbs? That's definitely not undersized for a yet-to-be senior.
