Pop Up Ads At GC Homepage

How does one stop these annoying Pop Up ads on the GC Homepage. The only way I have found out to by pass them is to refresh the page and then hurry and hit the forum pages before they appear. What's up with that, I know you need to sell advertising, but can't you make it so we don't have to read to. I hate to turn my block pops on because it effects the cookies. Help - someone?

Don't see them on Firefox. I see a Comcast ad on Google Chrome, and IE9

I'm still getting them, but it's not just on the home page.
They occasionally show up no matter which page I'm on, but they always cover the menu tabs at the top.

Covers everything except for "Home", "Blogs", and "Football".

The one showing right now is for progress energy.
There is no X to close any of them either.
