I wouldn't call it a cancellation but LOST is one show I would have loved to have gone on for 1 maybe 2 more seasons....and sadly Fringe is going off the air after Christmas...very underrated show IMO

Wow, how did I forget about Chapelle's Show? The funniest damned tv show I've ever seen.
And yes, Fringe is underrated!

Some of you have funny taste in shows. A lot listed weren't even cancelled before they ran their course or the creative forces behind the show decided it was time. And some like Arrested Development and maybe even Jericho could see new life again thanks to a Hulu or Netflix.
Personally I find there are more shows that stay on the air long past their time than their are shows that are canceled too soon.

NBC gave up on Freaks and Geeks way too soon in 2000. It was an Apatow hour long comedy that starred all of his regulars. No laugh track or stereotypical dumb teens. Just good realistic comedy. NBC sucks.

A few years ago my daughter worked Christmas at Toys R Us. Chapelle came in a couple times with his kids. My daughter said he was very friendly to everyone. Nice to hear that about a star.

The first time I saw Dave and Wayne Brady do that skit on "Training Day", I thought I was going to bust a gut. Brady really looked like he had an evil side to him, lol.

One of the funniest scenes ever on his show.
I guess I should have clarified RECENT shows. There are lots of shows that I wish were still on air. Chappelle is one of them.
I forgot that Blue Mountain State went off the air. I enjoyed that.
Lie to Me was excellent too.
Did anyone watch The Good Guys with Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford. I really liked that show. Was surprised it didn't stick.

The major ones:
"Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" (this one will hurt for a long, long time)
"Police Squad!" (funniest show ever on TV, inexplicably dumped after 6 episodes but at least it spawned some great movies)
"The Ben Stiller Show" (wit that was way before its time)
"Arrested Development" (simply the best comedy of its generation)
"Hidden Hills"
"Sports Night"
"The Secret Lives of Men"
"The Good Life" (introduced Drew Carey to the world, although it should have lasted and introduced the FAR more funny John Caponera to the world)
The minor ones:
"Sledgehammer"
"'Til Death"
"Men Behaving Badly" (although after they dropped Ron Eldard & Justine Bateman, there was no reason to watch it)
