Dear chrisleakfan4life,
Have you considered that you maybe play games too much?
Sincerely,
Microsoft
Sorry, bro. Couldn't resist. I would be torqued too if I were you.

To the video game uneducated, please enlighten me...
What 80 hours of gametime did you have saved?
Is that a recording of your individual game play, e.g. your killing of a an alien, you dying at the hands of one, or you marrying the magical dwarf princess? All so you can rewind them and watch again, like TIVO?
If so, why in the world would you want to do that?

It means how much time you have played.
Basically for most of those game, i went through and beat them. Now i were to play the game it would be the same as starting over.
It would be like your computer wiping out all your Microsoft word documents on your hard drive.

Got it. I'm not a game player, but that definitely sucks.

And these guys on your buddy list....first off,uh...do they have anything resembling a life??
And secondly--are they allowed out into the real world? Ever?

EricGraves on here has a gamerscore of like 116k and he goes to UF and he is getting a PHD.
Its really not that hard to do and its not as time consuming as you might think.

In electrical engineering. Take that for what it is worth.
The transfer is supposed to wipe the hard drive clean after transferring the data to the new one. I personally had a power outage once when this was happening and found out the data is not erased until near the end of the process, thankfully.
So did the transfer not take to the new hard drive?
Personally once had a hard drive corrupt losing all data, kinda similar situation. Personally I would recommend backing up all saves for longer games (mass effect, fallouts so on and so on) onto the cloud. But on the bright side, it is not like your expected time lost from having to repeat those games is that bad as you were most likely never going to play 90% on that list again. Still it does suck that you no longer have the option.

I feel your pain. I'm at 347 hours on Left 4 Dead 2; I'd be bent if I lost all my achievements.

Have you tried recovering it? Try running Recuva. Its a free download. Maybe you can salvage some game saves.

It's not really a big deal, for most games i had already beat.
The three game saves that pissed me off:
Skyrim
Borderlands
Rage

Yeah, rather than spend all their time playing video games, they should watch TV like regular people!
