OL is more feasible. We could use the bodies there on the inside. So on top of another Center and Tackle, we could take a 3rd Guard. Or we could take more of a OL project, which isn't completely out of the question. I still have hope that Kurzu makes it into the class.
WR's is another can of worms. Let's say we add one of Burse/Coley. That puts us at 3 WR's... with arguably 2 of the top 5 in the nation. Would this be the signal for Muschamp to give the Lincoln WR's the phone call?? I dunno, but I kinda hope so. I believe a lot of people are sleeping on these 2. And on top of all that, we would have all 5 of our WR's in the rivals250... Not a bad year at all. But even with all this going on, I think we can still manage to *maybe* take a 3* sleeper or even a Kick Returner. It wouldn't be completely out of the question. We have a new revamped offense, so the more WR's we can get to throw into the machine, the better. You never know which of the 5-6 will really pick up the system the best. It's also good for our QB's... another pair of hands that they can try to make a match with.

Whats going on stomp glad to see you making a post over here. I am saying no to 6 WR's it doesnt make sense. Maybe 4 then your KR/PR and that would take away from the 3rd RB spot. I know some people want both Lincoln kids but I dont think thats realistic from the coaches side. I might be wrong but Burse has mentioned coming to FNL so I am assuming he has been put into that show up and earn a spot position. He might still be a automatic take.
So at FNL we will have the two Lincoln guys Burse Bailey and whomever else the coaches like playing for one spot. I might put Owusu in that scenario too.
Of course that spot could be gone if two of the Stacy Coley, Robert Foster,Marquez North, Demarcus Robinson decide they want to be gators. I assume Coley is a Gator if his grades situation works out.
The main reason I dont see 6 Wr's is because that a huge number and there are other spots to fill. As of right now we have 1DL. We are definitely going to take a few more plus we are going to take 1 maybe 2 more DB's.
The 6OL I could maybe see I dont think us taking Dillard as a center prospect would take us out of the Kublanow sweepstakes but he is going to be a tough get.

Heya!
I agree. I think Coley is a lock if he has his grades in check. But that's a big if. If he has his grades up to our req's then I believe he will be the best WR we will sign. I am a big fan of Marquez North as well, there's a lot of upside there - Maybe even a future high draft pick. And him being from DJ Humphries HS is a major plus. We know that area... we had it on lock last year. Things shouldn't change this year.
I am thinking 5 is the key number. 6 is a little outlandish, but it's not completely out of the question. With the Lincoln kids, I can see us snapping up both, but only because Reggie Davis can see early time playing a role on KR/PR. That helps their cause a lot. Taj Williams is a good prospect though, I mean really, they both are - But the bottom line is, with our young offense, our coaches can find a role for them.
I think Burse is playing the game, as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he signed with Bama. In a year loaded with so much talent, and after what happened last year (in regards to waiting on WR's late in the game, i.e. Agholor/Diggs), I am feeling like our coaches are going to recruit some high profile names, but if they don't snap before the others, they might not be able to commit. It's very valuable for us to learn a lesson over the ending of last year... Only rely on a couple guys come NSD, don't have a bulk of your talent coming in at the last minute. It's cool to wait for a few guys, because they might be that good or because we might _really_ need him based on position... But don't have ALL of the big names pulling out hats on NSD... it never works out!
I can definitely see us taking in 6 OL. Then we will take 3-4 in 2014.... This is kinda playing out a lot like our DL last year. We had a monstrous DL haul last year. I firmly believe we will take 4 ***maybe 5*** DL (big maybe, we just don't have unlimited space). Cameron Dillard is a huge get, imho, a big OC/OG from Michigan is always a welcome sign that our program is reaching across the nation, not just the South East. And I don't think that Muschamp will make someone like Kublanow his personal recruit, and then turn around and stop pursuing because we got someone else at his position. Muschamps announcement that he will personally recruit Kublanow is a big statement, and whenever a head coach makes a statement like that, there's a lot of pressure on him to close the deal. It will send a message. But that said, I think one of these guys could play Guard. Either/Or... they are both gifted.
Also, in other news, Jacquez Green's nephew (JJ Green) committed to Jawja the other day. Good move on his part, I think. We just don't have the room in our backfield to squeeze him in. And he would be in a class that includes guys like Derrick Henry (Gator Fans - Attention - Drop all hope of Derrick Henry - It isn't going to happen) and QB Brice Ramsey. But still, if You're not a Gator, You're Gator Bait.
And just to mention the DL... If we can't flip one of the FSUcks or scUM DT's, I can see us rolling solo with Caleb Brantley. We picked up a few DT's last cycle, so it's not a huge deal if we miss out this year. And when we have guys like Bosa, Walker, Sherit, etc. giving the program serious looks, it's a nice commodity to have the room to take any of these guys on the spot. Devin Washington (Nick's brother) could feasibly make it into the class as well. That would be a sweet thankyou from our coaches to Nick Washington. He commits early, helps pull a seemingly unpullable Fulwood, and is now trying to pull one of the best (Probably the 2nd or 3rd) DE's out of Florida in Demarcus Walker (And we will get this kid, the "friend-dominoes" are falling).

I know Dillard is listed on Rivals as a G, but I believe he might get a look at C, depending on how the chips fall. Still plenty of room for Kurzu, who I really want in this class. Legacies are important.

Gators want Dillard at Center. We only have 2 more spots (maybe 3) on the OL left dont think Kurzu will get one.

I said six WR's, and dammit, the coaches better listen to me.
Seriously though, it was only speculation, but we lost the one kid from up north to transfer the year before, lost out on both Agholor and Diggs this year, Alli is probably never going to pan out and even break the rotation, and we're still waiting on Solomon Patton to step up.
You're probably right about 4 WR's, but they are an unpredictable bunch when you're recruiting them. For every two that pans out to be productive, you usually have one that never plays except for mop-up duty.
To get at least three solid, productive WR's, you usually have to recruit 5.

Yeah but you cant just go filling up roster spots with WR's Ali should have never gotten a scholly. Patton is small but Pease will get him some touches. It is looking like 4 its going to be one hell of a battle at FNL to see who gets a commitable offer the coaches might wait into the high school season if guys like North & Owusu decied to go elsewhere.

Dillard is a road-grading OG. We are expectant that Kublanow, whom Muschamp is personally recruiting, will sign as our C in this class.

I love Patton. He's been one of our best special teams players his whole career and its never bad to have an absolute burner on your team. Hope Pease gets the ball to him.

What's the point of digging up these threads, Ray?

How does digging up old threads accomplish that? You have me curious.

curiosity killed the cat, or somethin' like that.. did it bother you to have this post back up top?
I have never understood why anybody would question the moves a moderator or administrator does on a forum, as if they owe any explanation in the first place.

We have not had any new info on Cameron posted for a very long time. The kid may be coming farther than any other commitment, in Canton, Michigan. So of course he may have some challenges from others on the home front in challenging him to be a Florida Gator. No doubt getting out of the brutal Winter weather in Michigan will be a plus for us in keeping this guy!

Who said anyone is "owed" an explanation?
I was wondering the same thing as fubar...
Is it ok to as a mod a question in your world?
Right now, the whole 1st page is nothing but player threads...

If it's a question to some then they may want to check what was posted on the Kelvin Taylor thread. Signing Day is not that far away. So our 2013 class commitments should be paramount on the AR Forum. At least I think it should/would be as these guys are very important to the future of our Gator Football program.
