This is the kind of news I was looking forward to. I don't get too wound up in recruiting but it sure does look good when we start loading up the next class this early

I think the guy who edited the video just chose the song because Kalif kept saying " Taylor"... ....but IO agree.

Kelvin Taylor lives up to hype at Miami NFTC

After impressing Sunday at the Miami Nike Football Training Camp, Taylor earned an invite to The Opening, a prestigious camp presented by Nike in Beaverton, Oregon July 5-8. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound back and the state of Florida's all-time leading rusher, said he was honored by the invitation.

Best thing about Taylor is his physical development, technique and like he said, his vision. He was ready to suit up for the Gators his sophomore year in high school. He's going to get on the field very quickly. FWIW, his running style is not very similar to his dad. When you see him run, you think of a more famous UF alum.

I see him making an impact here in a hurry. He may not have the size (or speed) of his dad. But his dad, for all his physical tools, was something of a late-bloomer here. I suspect the son has better running instincts.

Taylor committed to Florida back on Feb. 18, but said several schools have tried to stay in contact with him. Taylor though, says he gives every school the same response.
"I tell them that's where I'm going," he said. "That's my school. I love Florida. It's going to be my hometown for the next three or four years. That's what I tell them. I'm going to the University of Florida. I'm not disrespectful, I just say that's the school I'm going to."

We had some questions about the level of competition he faces. At least now we know for sure he has all the physical tools... and definitely has his head straight.

247 has him ranked as the top RB in the nation now. His track times are still terrible though so explosive plays might be a problem.

I dont think he ran 12.2 sec hundreds but I could be wrong. I just checked Ingrams 200 time in high school his PR for the 200 was 22.60. Taylors right now for the 200 is 24.72.
I am not saying Taylor isnt a great back he seems to have all the attributes besides breakaway speed. But that 100 time is alarming. Still expect him to be a great Gator.

100m times are virtually irrelevant for running backs.
