UGA commit officially visiting UF for Bowling Green
by Zach Abolverdi
Florida usually doesn’t have big prospects officially visit for season openers, but you don’t turn away Trenton Brown.
And he’s huge — literally and figuratively.
The 6-foot-8, 350-pound JUCO offensive lineman confirmed to the Sun that he will be on hand for the game against Bowling Green.

Since Mann moving to the O line, if we got this kid with his size he could play D tackle and be a boulder in the middle. Just an idea. Having a 6'8" 350 lb D lineman sounds good to me

Just guessing but it seems that since Tunsil is leaning heavily to UGA we might be going after Brown as our LT prospect. People may know more than me but if Tunsil is not coming to UF we might as well go after a great LT. Brown fits the bill size wise at least...Hope he can play as big as his size...

This would be awesome if we could land him. First of all we need O-lineman and 2nd of all just the pleasure of steeling one from the Dawgs is always nice.

I don't know chit about recruiting, but it would seem to me,we never had Tunsil,to begin with. That being said, he's likely headed to GA,so it would even out the sting,by pulling the old, snatch and grab from them.GEORGIA SUCKS

Seems like if we seem know Tunsil is UGA bound then Brown may know as well. I wonder what position they both want to play? Maybe Richt is developing a 2 LT scheme?

DJ and he compete for LT and the loser goes to RT. Not possible at UGA with Theus at RT

Aint gonna happen with Tunsil, he's all dawg. Now, the question is, is Brown really taking a visit to UF just because he said he would or because he's really interested because of Tunsil?

he's probably never in person seen a game at the Swamp and just wants to check us out, especially when the team comes out of the tunnel. If he likes it and the facilities we have a reasonable chance.

what happen was Brown committed to Georgia but was still going to look around. Then a few weeks ago Tunsil was asked if he had a problem with Georgia taking Browns commitment Tunsil said, "no because the staff told him they were thinking about putting Brown at guard". Brown hears this and of course is not to happy about it he is adamant that he wants nothing to do with guard and sees himself as a tackle. These guys are going to have to compete wherever they go. Chaz Green is a sophomore and will play a lot of tackle this year.

We need really great big guys, no kiddin. They're like gas in the engine. Without'em your really not going anywhere. Its been proven so many times. I've felt all along that should be our emphases. We are in dire straights in that department.

A guy of his size is a little too big for guard. The shorter DTs can get under him leverage wise, and it would make it more difficult to open up running lanes in tight situations. Man, coaches will tell a kid anything to get him to commit

Georgia has huge OL's they are typically bigger than like half the NFL I would not put it past them trying to play a guy Browns size at guard. Octavius Jackson is going to be 6-5 300 plus and play guard for the Gators.
[edit] But 6'8 would be a huge guard. I am betting Brown would beat out Tunsil and they would use Tunsil to play in spots behind Theus and Brown. Until Brown left the program. All this stuff used to not be known but with the media anything coaches say gets out.
