Do you buy a game every week? Geez. Sure seems like it. I always stick to one game at a time. Though it's going to be ridiculously hard with three instant classics out at the same time. (uncharted, elder scrolls, battle field 3)

Only this year because there have been so many games coming out that i have wanted to play.
I usually stick to singe player games and only a few multi player ones. I beat the campaign on BF3 but haven't even played the multiplayer.
Call of Duty is about the only real multi player game i play frequently now a days.
Gears of War 3- Great game, played the first two and i have to finish the trilogy out. Traded it in and got $40 towards BF3.
Forza Motorsport 4- Loved Forza 3, bought the collectors edition and i plan to play it over the next few months
Rage- Looked great, bought it and I'm still playing it and im on Disc 2.
Batman Arkham City- Loved Arkham Aslyum, this one is still in the package until i get around to playing it.
Battlefield 3- An amazing game and a must have, enjoyed BF2 on regular Xbox
Goldeneye- Liked Quantum of Solace and Blood Stone on Xbox 360, liked Goldeneye on N64, this seems to have a little bit of both so i figured i would give it a shot.
Is it worth $60? That depends on how much you like James Bond, want to go for achivements, and are interested in the special ops/multiplayer aspect.
If you just want to play the story and thats it, rent it from Redbox or Blockbuster.
It's not on the level of a BF3 or CoD MW3 which was to be expected, but its a fun game and i am glad i bought it.
The game has that Call of Duty feel to it, but it also feels like the other James Bond games.
Its a fun game so far after having played a couple of missions.
If you're thinking of buying this game because you believe it will be similar to the original i wouldn't. I just got through what was the facility map and while they have brought back some the weapons of the past and included some similar features like the open doors that slide open, the layout of the facility map is way different.
Ive enjoyed the game thus far and am heading to bed soon. I think its a good game, is it worth $60? Depends on how much you want to play it. With so many titles out i wouldn't put this high on the list. It's a good game so far, but it won't have the replay value of a game like CoD MW3 just because its not a franchise type game.
For me personally i love James Bond games which is why i got this.
Its a decent game, not on the level of a CoD or BF3 type of game. If you can, wait for it to price drop into the 20's to 30's or rent it if you're interested in single player.
The achievements appear to be time consuming for the most part.
Activision has incorporated some of the original game into this game, from the weapons to a few key parts on certain missions(like Dam and Facility). However the layouts and the missions are much longer/different than the ones on N64.
They have brought back the characters, the weapons, some key features and the story line from the Goldeneye movie but if you're expecting a remake of the N64 game you're going to be disappointed(from what i have seen in the Campaign anyway).

I love the original, I still keep my N64 plugged up in my living room exclusively for playing GoldenEye when friends come over. It looks silly on my 42 in TV lol. I think I'm going to rent this one, you've piqued my interest.
On a somewhat related note, the filming for Skyfall began on Monday. It's been entirely too long since the last 007 movie came out, it's about time MGM got their house in order.
