If this was a free site, then I would have no right to complain. But I am paying Premium Rates for this site. I do not mind seeing the ads in headers and frames, but I resent seriously the ads that "pop up and blink" and the ads that play unwanted video and audio. I will not take the tiime or energy to change my settings every time I come to this site. If the owners do not have consideration for their paying customers, I will vote with my wallet and I have been a member of this site from the very beginning.

hate the ad.
was surfing the site last night while the hoops game was on and i ended up stopping that practice as each page i opened the ad came on. very annoying!!!!!!
now i'm on mute just so i can go around the board reading and post.
it is definitely an annoying occurrance. unacceptable is so correct. you can almost guarantee now, that i wont' be visiting the site when i have a gator game on the internet feed.

This is the third thread complaining about this in a month. Basic response is we need the money and we're trying out everything that might help. I guess the ads won't go away until enough paying subscribers leave to clearly demonstrate how bad an idea this was for the paying subscribers. I finally had to quit looking at the GC web site on my ipad and use the GC App, even though I don't like the layout as much. Plus the supposedly "targeted" ads on the side of the page clearly have nothing to do with your personal web history based on my experience (Toyota?) and many others. Give it a few hours and this thread will be quickly moved to the "Help" forum.

I just did a test-not seeing it with Firefox and Adblock, so opened IE and it is all over the place. Firefox and Adblock should fix it, though I do remember it popping up once last week I think when I was using Firefox.

Stop it now!

I'm using safari and ad block, still get the ad. Btw, this is the first time I've had issues with ads so there is something unique about these.

First of all, if you aren't using Google Chrome, start using it. It's better.
After you get Google Chrome go to the Google App Store and search for ad block and flash block. The screen will still be offset a bit but the ad will not play anymore unless you click on it.

Maybe the new ad isn't in your filter? Have you tried adding it?

Same here - loaded the new IE and the ad restarts everytime I open a new tab or change pages.

Firefox owes you another user... funny how you click add-ons for IE and they only list programs that would add more spam.
Firefox with No-Script and Adblock is hard to beat.
