Isn't his sister already at UF? I agree with the dad situation but it can't hurt to have family at Florida too. Maybe it offsets???

yes his sister goes to UF. But there are coaches besides his dad that have watched him grow up at USF. Its hard to tell all those people he wants to go to another school.

It is if you realistically want to play in championship games.

Tampa (Fla.) Wharton five-star cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III spent a portion of Thursday at the University of Florida for a visit.
"It was good," Hargreaves III said. "It was fun. I have been up there several times before so I am pretty used to it. There wasn't really anything new. When I was there I talked with Coach (Will) Muschamp and Coach (Travaris) Robinson, so that was nice."
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back talked about his conversation with the Gator coaches.
"They tell me that I need to go where I am comfortable," Hargreaves III said. "They tell me they are going to support me wherever I go and that they would love to have me there obviously. They are good people. They are coaches and they are going to recruit me, but something about them is a bit different."
After several visits to Gainesville, the Sunshine State standout says that he has a certain comfort level with Florida.
"I like Florida," Hargreaves said. "I like the coaching staff. They are a winning program. There isn't much not to like about them."
While Florida has made a good impression, Hargreaves says he remains wide-open and is evaluating all of his nearly 40-plus offers.
"I haven't narrowed it down. Not at all," Hargreaves said. "I will narrow it down some before the season and then take more visits.
"I don't have a leader," Hargreaves added.
As for the next trip that Hargreaves will take, he is planning to see a few schools on the West Coast during an all-star camp experience in early July.
"I am doing The Opening and I am going to visit some schools while I am out (west)," Hargreaves III. "USC, Stanford, and Oregon."
Hargreaves is Rivals.com's No. 2 cornerback and No. 9 overall prospect in the nation.

Sounds like we may be a not too distant second place. He may be leaning towards USF, but he will have to think long and hard about going there. He's a smart kid. He will think this through.

Sounds like he's town between UF and USF, so yea, he's pretty likely to stay in state.

Sounds like he's wide open to me. Glad Muschamp is telling him they'd love to have him but go where he fits best. That's the best sales pitch of all cause it's the truth.

Just because someone coaches somewhere today, does not mean they wil be there tomorrow. Job advancement would have to be ignored, the HC may go another way or may go altogether if the wins don't come.
Go to the school, it won't be going anywhere.

What kind of student is he? I know it won't come entirely down to academics, but USF is vastly inferior to UF on that front. I think they're a third or fourth tier university (out of four).

VHIII announced that his top 3 is Florida, South Florida, and Miami on 247. Great news that nobody out of state is on that list. I don't consider Miami a huge threat on this one. Coming down to UF and USF. Many people thought that but nice to here the kid officialy say it. I thought USF would get this one easily but now I'm actually starting to believe we have a 50/50 shot at this guy.

USF may get some recruits that would never have looked their way five years ago, but unless he just wants to go where dad is the better education and route to the NFL is still hands down found in Gainesville.

I would take him on offense, defense or special teams in a heartbeat. The kid is special. I love him at corner, like him at WR, and think he could be am excellent KR.
