How much water do you drink in a day?
I've been cutting back on coffee and find myself drinking a lot more water at work and home.
I do sweat a lot during workouts so I hydrate before and after working out. I know the recommended amount is 8 cups a day, but I've been drinking at least twice that!

If you are working out a lot and sweat a lot its probably fine to drink 2 gallons a day. Of course the bathroom breaks might start cutting into your productivity though.
I only drink coffee or water and I keep a 20 oz refillable bottle with me all day. At the gym I use a 32 oz bottle. I can guess that I easily drink over a gallon a day.

I try to get 32-64 ounces a day, 100 ounces just seems a bit extreme and leaves me feeling bloated

While I agree with this sentiment. Whenever I go to the Latin grocery store I just can't help myself and grab a 355 mL Mexican Coca-Cola in the glass bottle. Still has the sugar in it instead HFCS.

Typical techie. If I am in the office I will drink enough coffee to lose count of how much I have actually had. Luckily, at home I am actually more disciplined and only make enough for 2 cups.

I love soda(major reason i put on weight in the first place) and so i try to cut it to 2 sodas a day, usually with meals.
I usually try to get 64 ounces of water a day, combined with my 2 diet soda's.

Ha! Or a beer? Let's see, 12 times whatever that is...
I have two one liter bottles I rotate in the fridge but I have a little Dew addiction too. But when I'm in the zone and avoiding it I drink a LOT more water. Soda really is the enemy. I know a guy who simply quit drinking it, replaced it with water, nothing else significant, and he dropped about twenty pounds immediately and kept it off.

simple rule of thumb on water
half your body weight in oz. of water
200 lb = 100 oz of water
the more active you are add more to this base line number.

is "not enough" a number?
If so, that is how much I drink in a day.
Typically I drink only coffee or water. Tea or juice on occasion. Soda is typically less than 5 times a year. I am a sucker for root beer.

I don't think some people drink as much as they profess, probably because they don't understand how much a gallon really is. A gallon of water = 16 8oz. glasses of water. If you REALLY keep track, I highly doubt very many people actually drink that much water, unless you are counting the water in your soda, tea and other drinks.
