These guys are outstanding. They are going to record in the studio this winter, and 1st album release should be early next spring. Tab Benoit is producing it.
Just heard this on the radio from UF professor Robert Ray's former band, The Vulgar Boatmen. Saw these guys on a reunion tour two years ago. Great show.

Caught sets from calvin harris, passion pit, miike snow and jay-z with a bunch of special guests last night. Good times. Calvin crushed it as always.
Today im trying to see santigold, run dmc, alesso, and pearl jam. Might try to sneak in a few songs at the X set. They are the mist surprising act on the bill.

What a summer of live music you've had.
X has been touring quietly for a few years with most if not all the original band members. They've been playing smaller venues in large cities. Not sure where everyone is living, but Exene had moved to the St. Louis area some time while I was there. Heard her in a radio interview once. Her accent was very familiar. Looked up her bio and saw that she's from Tallahassee. Have never seen them live. That would be a treat.

Yea great summer.
Don't really know many X songs but I know of them. John Doe more from acting than music though. If I see them ill have to break away from my group who will either be at Drake or Afrojack.
The venue is seriously strange. They basically cut Philadelphia in half to put the main stage on the famous rocky steps. Plus there is a freaking statue right in the middle of the main crowd area.
JC is also a big time stage actor in Chicago. The band has lots of supporters, Robert Plant and Buddy Guy along with the the Wilco gang. Wilco got them slotted on some big stages including one of their Chicago appearances last year. They played Lolla this year, on Saturday I think.
