I am always looking for new artists and new music to listen to. Who really gets your day started right now? What kind of music are you digging right now? If you are like me, my mood determines my music.
Today I am listening to a little of the following:
Ray Lamontagne - Let It Be Me
Adele - Rolling in the Deep
Band of Horses - Blue Beard
Let me know, I am always looking for new stuff, old, current, it doesn't matter.
Palladia has some great music lined up tonight.... Miranda Lambert just finished, now Carrie~ upcoming Reba, Toby and Alan Jackson.... with the big screen it is like a concert in your den
I've recently gotten into the world of electronic dance music...in the 2nd half of my 20s...kind of unusual but this stuff can be really good. I'm not talking about the mega superstar DJs like Tiesto, but the lesser known artists.
So far I've listened to a bunch of trance, tech trance, minimal techno and progressive house...I can recommend Markus Schulz and John 00 Fleming if you want to go the trance route. Chris Liebing makes some incredible techno, and a couple of really good house artists would have to include Sander van Doorn and Bart B More. That's pretty much what I'm listening to right now. The EDM world is gi-normous and it's kind of exciting to think I'm just scratching the surface.
It's like discovering rock at such a late age--it's such a vast universe of music with so many subgenres.
For those who like real country music try Elizabeth Cook who is the morning drive time DJ on XM/Sirius Outlaw station. She has two albums out that are just outstanding with a touch of humor thrown in. One song that my wife particularly likes is entitled "Sometimes It Takes Balls To Be A Woman". One that I like is called "Beer For Booty" which goes something like "If you say yes to beer it's no to booty". There are plenty of excellent straight country music including the requisite tear jerkers. It continues to amaze me that talent like this goes largely unnoticed while fast food junk like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift win awards.
Location: Wherever I am I doing fine. I am here for a good not a long time.

In the late 90s I was into a lot of this stuff, at raves every weekend. But it quickly wore thin and I barely listened to anything electronic for over 10 years. Until this summer when I just started discovering a lot of great music.
I dont like Tiesto but I do like some of the bigger names like Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia, Kaskade and others. I do like Sander van Doorn and often just put on a Pandora station and let it play.
