This is a cry for tougher first two games in upcoming seasons. We lacked major toughness on defense which was partially attributable to Tennessee just taking it to us, but also because we played against seriously inferior teams the first two games.

No team ever plays a flawless season. I kind of compare it to the NCAA basketball championship. Every team that wins the title faces a tough game somewhere along the line that they should hammer a team and somehow they find a way to win and advance. Thats the way we need to look at this game. We didn't play our best football, and we still managed to find a way to win. At the end of the day we are still undefeated and have just as great as chance to play in the national championship as we did before this game. Win and advance, it's that simple.

Both the offensive line and defensive line looked pretty weak. No pressure on Cromp and no protection for Tebow. Where was Spikes too? Offensive play calling could use some creativity as well

Hopefully, as others have said, this was our Ole Miss and we won it...it took about five or six games last year before our offence started to kick in. I do believe our strategy was to wear them down with the Banzai. It was working, we would have been up 30-6 if Tebow had not fumbled...and Crompton would have been panic throwing after that with the potential for us to snag a couple picks for more scores...alas, that did not happen.

I think we see some better focus the rest of the year.

To Kiffen's credit, CBS interviewed him before the game, at the half and after the game with very little focus on Urban. So Kiffen is getting the pub the little tyke so craves...

At some point in time Meyer has got to make substitutions for the starting WRs to see if others can get separation. In addition, he needs to allow Brantley to take at least one or two possessions.

Tebow is not going to win the Heisman with these kinds of numbers and mistakes anyway so Meyer should start developing our next qb in big situations.

I agree with him. If he'd gotten to 30-6, I'd bet we'd have hung up at least one more because they would have been totally demoralized.

The USC comment was sarcastic..

We will lose first place votes as a result of this performance no doubt, but as everyone has been saying hopefully this was our Mississippi game.

Our offensive line played like crap almost all game. Tebow had no protection and no holes were opened up except for limited plays in the second half.
