Default Was there a Gator hater working the console at ESPN tonight?

The fan question asked whether Spikes' eye gouge was worse than the Oregon player's attack on a Boise State layer.

Just about every highlight of a previous game seemed to focus on UF mistakes. Tebow's concussion was shown 2-3 times. Then to top it off, they show Nebraska's Tommie Frazier breaking that infamous long run.

Ridiculous!

When I saw Tommie Frazier, I got a little sick to my stomach.

Very bad tonight. But it's true everybody hates you when you are on the top.

The Tommie Frazier play seems like a distant memory -- because it is.

Who is this Tommie Frazier that you speak of? I seem to have selective amnesia for about the first couple of weeks in Jan. of 1996. Didn't UF play somebody big after New Year's that year?

Why didn't they simply add the Lindsay Scott TD, the Collins Cooper missed FG and Travis-Stephens-running-wild videos to make the night complete?

Someone at ESPN doesn't like us.

Damn I wish that Urban had blown off Schlebaugh (sp) at the half. That DB has been so anti-UF this week that it would have been awsome had he given him the big FU instead of the interview

Check out the game recap article on ESPN...has to be the most negative-spin article I've ever read, including this gem:

"Spikes was hardly missed. He watched the game from the sideline in a warmup suit and with a freshly shaved face -- maybe an attempt to change his image following his eye-gouging incident against the Bulldogs."

You can't hate on Frazier. His brother did, afterall, play fullback for the Gators.

Frazier played for my highschool. I back him almost as much as Wuerffel or Tebow.

Reminds me of watching the Dolphins in the 1980s. Whenever the Fins were winning a big game, NBC, late in the game, would show an "Alcoa Fantastic Finish" clip showing Earl Campbell breaking numerous Miami tackles en route to the end zone or the Jets' Ken O'Brien tossing a last-second TD, just to get our goat.
