Whatever we don't like we call a "joke." That word is officially over worked.

A thought for the Gator fan/Yankee haters: I think we get a little break now because the media haters can go full-time hating the Yankees and forget about Spikes and the Gators who they don't really give a shite about anyway.

To the mod who moved this thread: Putting this in around the horn just kills it dead. It's worthy of discussion at least as a diversion from Spikes/Kiffin overload. IMHO.

I think most fans just recognize the massive advantage the Yankees have over their opponents... Teams like the Phillies, current DRays & a few other teams have much better organizations, but the Yankees can just right checks & beat them... No fun there at all.

Congrats to the Yankee fans. Their free agent spending finally paid off. Sabathia, Burnett and Texeira all came thru big. As for Jeter, I have slowly become a fan of his. Still, if he didn't play in NY, well you know....

As a Marlin fan, I can only point out that the combined salaries of two players ARod and Jeter far exceeds the total salaries of at least 3 other teams. Not the Yankees fault, but SOS.

27 titles is a hell of an achievement. Still, I'll never think of the Yankees again without associating them with perhaps the worst choke in professional sports history, vs the Red Sox a few years back.
