I dont get this at all. We already took heat for the supposed "leniancy". Why now do this, we still take flak for supposed light sentence and then we still dont get Spikes for the entire game. This makes no sense.

I know we wont need him, but this is pointless cowering to external pressure.

Great move by Brandon... It would have been a nightmare if UM increased the suspension for a whole game himself. This way Spikes takes responsibility and fosters the blame, which he should have in the first place.

I really hope that is the case. Regardless, Vandy's offense is quite anemic so Spike's absence should make very little difference this Saturday.

If i t truly is brandon's decision, then OK...

Otherwise, its a silly decision, one half versus the whole Vandy game, it makes no practical difference WHATSOEVER...

IMO, it makes the school look weak and overly dependent on public opinion.

Who the hell cares what Golic and the other media ninnies think, they have the attention of a flea and will move on to the next controversy du jour in about 12 hours..as a matter of fact they already have...

Whatever, can't wait till Saturday so we can wipe the memory banks and move on...

The media controls what everyone sees, hears and now thinks? Give me a break, since when did the NCAA, SEC, UF or any coach give a rat what some columnist or commentator had to say. Where were they when Darnell Docket twisted or RB's leg? There was plenty of videos out there on that. People are so easily persuaded by what they see and hear on TV and radio...it is really sad.
