After all the Gator bashing this idiot does, he finally had something decent to say about the Spikes blow-up. On Inside the Polls he said that coaches don't know what is said and what goes on on the field and that he felt that the half a game suspension was enough. When everyone else, incuding Jessie Palmer, said that the punishment was to light. He even sounded like he meant it. Speaking of Jessie Palmer has anyone else detected a hint of hater in him from time to time.

Palmer isn't a hater. He is just trying too hard not to show loyalty. It's a hard line to walk, and he gets to watch uber homer granny do it wrongly everyday.

Yeah! Maybe hater is to strong a word, but you sure couldn't tell he is a UF allum from listening to him.

Either way, Palmer sucks like the rest of him. His "objectively" is horrible. Either he hates the Gators or he is horrible. One of the two.

Bashing the Gators does not make him look any better. If he really believed more than 1/2 a game suspension is necessary he is an idiot. If he didnt, he is a liar.

I think a 1/2 game is too much. I believe Meyer believes that as well, but is forced to do the "politically" correct thing.

This crap happens all the time. If anyone on this board has ever played football, a lot of crap happens under the piles.

TV and close up angles are getting better and better. 5 years the camera would not have caught that.

This crap goes on all the time. Spikes just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

...these guys have a right to their own opinion, and just b/c an occasional opinion is negative to UF doesn't mean anything.

I wonder if the Richt rumblings would ever go so far as to start mentioning Tubs as a replacement...

He'd be a good one. Tough for us, yes, but I wouldn't mind seeing FL/GA getting competitive again.

Jesse Palmer is, in my opinion, a great up-and-coming commentator. He has done several games that I have watched and does well when talking about the gameplay. His general insight on the college football world is off, however (the Spikes thing, and stuff like that) and is where his bias/anti-bias shines.
