While we're at it, someone send it to the dawg message boards as well and see if they respond with the typical fervor they showed regarding Spikes.

Anyone want to bet that Pricht won't suspend this guy for a single down because of this? (probably because the coaches told them to pull crap like this from the get-go)

Isn't it the head referee's job to watch the QB and interaction around the QB. How can a flag be missed in this instance. I can't think of any justification for missing this call.

Tim was clearly defenseless (not looking, did not have the ball, arms down), and the other guy knew that and even observed Tim without the ball. Then he makes the hit.

Like I said on one of the Spikes threads, guess Richt will self-report this to the SEC, and suspend the player for what, oh, a quarter of a game?

How bout the UGA player standing over Tebow that wouldn't help him up after he went down. Tebow extends his hand for help up and the guy says, "get up yourself, I'm not helping you."

It's Thomas Vitter. He misses three things a week more ridiculous than that...Saturday one of them was the takedown of Cunningham on Cox's 2nd quarter TD pass.

He and Penn Wagers, to my mind, absolutely positively 100% stink.

I'm OK with most everyone else in the conference, though Steve Shaw ('Bama grad) is still the best in my book.

I've given up on expecting holding calls. They seem to call them via some random number generator machine. At least those are judgment based calls. Although I am continuously amazed (not really) how they let so many obvious holding penalties go uncalled and yet continue all the ticky tack calls of block in the back or holding on kick off and punt returns.

so what? UF did that to UGA last year a couple times too.

That's the kind of mentality Ga came to the game with. Richt brought that straight from FSU. This time it didn't work like it used to because UF wasn't intimidated and they were better than the doggies.

Sorry, I can't see anything at all wrong with the scenario presented here. Sure it would be polite to help someone up, but not doing so it certainly not cheap or in any way out of place on a football field. It would have to be a special circumstance before I would help an opposing playing get up. Let them expend their own energy to remove themselves from the prone position. I'll save mine for knocking his ass down again.

There are plenty of cheap shots and extracurricular activities to harp on without worrying about such a trivial issue (IMO)

I emailed Pat Dooley with a reference to the Warren Sapp cheap shot on Chad Clifton that I believe got him suspended. If Tebow wasn't so tough and ended up injured from this hit, the proverbial chit would have hit the fan.
