It looks like Spikes intentionally sticks his fingers into a UGA players helmet.

Things were "chippie" between these teams all game long. Lots of dirty stuff going on from both sides. Too bad Spikes got caught on tape.

Dirty, no doubt. I don't think anyone can deny that Spikes doesn't play dirt-free but if you've had any experience at the bottom of a pile in a football game, you'd know that their not shaking hands down there.

You cannot tell by that video what #51 Spikes is actually doing. It is very common if you've ever played football that this stuff happens frequently in a pile. I played football and I can tell you all kinds of dirty things happen on the bottom of a pile.

I've heard former bad a$$ linebackers talk about things that happened to them and that video you posted was nothing compared to getting bitten, having your nuts grabbed and pinched, and getting spit on in the face knowing the referee can't see it.

It's football and I can promise you Florida players get that same treatment and worse by other teams...You just don't see it.

One of the players that I've heard this from was Jack Youngblood that talked about how common this stuff is in football when he was playing.

I'm more surprised that so many of you have made such a big deal out of this. I can assure you UGA was doing worse in some of those piles and taunting UF players throughout the game.

Well I guess I'm a little ignorant on how bad it gets in the bottom of the pile, but I still don't like that the Senior Leader of our defense doing this. He should be better than that. A lot of people were giving Dustin Doe a lot of crap for his "hot dogging," but this seems 10x worse.

Exactly and Spikes was the target of some of those cheap shots. Is what Spikes did any worse than the UGA player at the start of the game tearing Spikes helmet off?

Maybe he was picking some grass out of his helmet. Unless the other player comes out of the game grabbing his eye, nothing happened.

to Tebow, on the play where Verne thought Tim had his bell rung. In the replay you could see the uga linebacker with his hand inside Tim's facemask. Then they showed Tim on the sideline, dousing his eye with water. So no the gators didn't get bent out of shape for that type of play against one of their own. And Spikes isn't likely to be suspended for that type of play at the bottom of the pile. I don't like it either, but the dawgs were targeting Brandon with shots to the knees, and constantly in his face mouthing off. I guess they were trying to goad him into a fight.
