Cannot say enough about Cercone, that is a great win against a very good opponent.
Morgan is probably more talented, but it is a freshman against a player that has been thru everything possible in college tennis.
Embree is kind of in a clash of titans, two of the better players in college tennis

I expect a shuffle in the doubles lineups. But it is good to know that we can beat UNC and Stanford without winning doubles. Stanford's lineup 1-5 is as good as anyone. Oyen, Cercone and Morgan winning, those are 3 impressive wins.

stellar effort!
packed crowd - and i mean packed - never had to scrunch up at a tennis match before. they had the pep band there, some from the spirit group/cheerleaders, albert and alberta. saw a bunch of guys from the mens basketball team and of course mens tennis. did i mention it was packed?
was there for the doubles. the ebb and flow was dramatic how we'd get momentum and then lose it. went back and forth alot. then suddenly a break here and there and stanford is serving for the win on two courts. and then it's over.
gals have to concentrate alot. have to give them credit because there were alot of fans there for the first time. great to have them come out. i'm sure they'll be back. all it takes is that first time to get you hooked and appreciate the effort. but alot of the 'frat boy' types were making quips and stuff that may have not be appropriate. gals really are focused though. and they have to play thru the cheers anyway, so the quips probably go completely unnoticed. anyway, mid-way thru the doubles the crowd was really into it. which was great to see.
i went over to the baseball game, then came back in time for the rain delay. then hopped in the car and head home. was curious to see the results. pretty darn clutch! great effort, Gators!
