Wife and I went for a long weekend getaway. Nice enough but not our cup of tea. We felt we'd driven for hours just to spend money and the weekend in our own neighborhood back home. Lots of mature oaks with Spanish moss, cobblestone, etc.
Good restaurants, history tours, ghost tours, historic homes.
Nice enough town but, in our opinion, not vacation worthy (money/time).

I 2nd Moon River brewery, pretty cool place. Being a big Forrest Gump fan, I had to take pictures where they filmed all the bus stop shots. There is also a museum with the bench and breifcase from the film. It had a sign that said "do not touch." ...I touched. If you are are out late, there is a pizza place near Moon River that has some pretty good pizza that also stays open late.
Edit: Just saw the part about the 3 month old. The Squares are nice, we took some pictures there that turned out pretty well.

Get in line for Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House. And be ready to eat. Puts Paula Dean's restaruant to shame. May be a bit much for a three mo. year old though. I also second the Pink House for a nice dinner for the adults. Be sure to ask for the tour after dinner! And Jazz'd is a great Tapas restaurant too. Also be sure to stop by for some fresh taffy at the Savannah Candy Company.
If it's something you're into, we were amazed at the Jewish history in Savannah. The only gothic synagogue in the US is located there. It is classical Reform and has an excellent museum in it.
Be sure to check out the art shops near SCAD. You'll definitely find something to bring home.

Glad you enjoyed. My favorite place in Savannah. But you have to go hungry...

Lol we waited two hours to get in so we were good and hungry. We laughed because nobody spoke during dinner just shoveled delicious food in their mouths
