this young team needed to be tested and prove they could rally from a deficit. They aren't gonna run rule or be ahead in every game, so this is good for them.

Not really sure we deserved to win this one, but you've gotta love the clutch hitting from Haeger/Damico.
Win or lose, this type of game is going to make this young team better, but it sure is nice to win!!

yeah, i hate that illegal pitch rule too. don't know how to amend it. except just do away w/ it altogether. guess it's like a balk call.
timing is definitely suspect.

Wasn't it Merritt that did the awkward slide into 3rd base late yesterday? When she wasn't in the lineup today I was worried. Hate to lose her for much time as she has played terrific.

Kirsti Merritt pulled her quad on Saturday, hope it isn't going to sideline her for a long time. This team is much stronger with her in the line-up.

Thanks 4evera, when I didn't see her in the lineup sunday I was thinking that might be the problem. Sure hope it was a minor tweek and they were taking precaution as she has been awesome to begin the season.

Remember the illegal pitch calls against Stacy Nelson in the Softball WS back in 2008. Talk about impacting a game and the championship

Can anyone explain the details of an illegal pitch in softball. Do they call it whenever they see it or just when runners are on base?

Or Bomb against UCLA. That was painful. My daughter leaves a trench the size of the Panama Canal. There's no illegal pitch with her. At least as far as crow hopping is concerned.
