Congrats. Several kids in my classes today were wound tight as a drum, I hope that they got good news. Last year when my younger daughter got in all I heard was a wailing like a banshee when she checked her status, thought it was bad news. Tears of joys, from both of us

I must admit that I had tears running down my face-she is the youngest of our 5 and the only one who wanted to go to UF-the rest all went CC and UCF

Bill I had five kids also. My youngest, a son, had his pick on where to go. He choose UCF because several of his friends in his Colligate HS went there. I was a little disappointed. All my girls bleed orange and blue but were raised in La. and the out of state cost was out of reach for them. The son is an eighteen yr old Jr. at UCF, so I can't complain! Congrats!! I do have a niece who is a Sr. at UF.

Congrats...
So different than in our day when you had to wait on the mail, hope for the fat envelope vs the skinny one, everyone had to call each other while some hadn't received their letters yet and some had...now everyone finds out at exactly the same predetermined time online and via a mass text or email everyone knows on almost everyone in their circle in minutes. Do they still have multiple application dates or did they get rid of that too?

A favorite game among my friends. How many of us could get in today? My friend's daughter got in. She is a genius. I have been practicing law for 26 years. I KNOW I couldn't get in today. Cardiologist friend says the same. Our old school has become an amazingly difficult school to enter. So. Congratulations to the latest round of great scholars to further burnish the orange and blue reputation. You all make us proud.

My two daughters graduated from UF and I'm very proud of them. I did too but couldn't even come close to getting in today.

Congrats to all. Brings back memories. I was blessed to have all 3 of my girls get in and graduate. Almost died worrying whether or not my youngest would get in. TONS of pressure on her after her older siblings had made it. She was a "traditional" student (other two went the IB route). We did not know. Daughter wanted none of that, "Well, it'd be interesting to have one of you go to USF/UCF/FSU/FGC" bs. We were so happy. Congratulations to your daughters, your grand-daughters and yourselves. Good job.

well they didnt all find out at the same time...their system had "technical difficulties" for over an hour due to high volume.
