You have gotten a lot of advice. I used to think like a lot of these cats on this thread- that all you have to do is read this or do that and your marriage will be spectacular and you will not need anything on the side. That just is not true if you are not getting your needs met for one reason or another. I have seen a lot of marriages that failed or that are just dead relationships no matter what they read, what counseling they got, or what marriage seminar they went to. They are stuck, trapped, and maybe should not be together. Sometimes your needs cannot be met by the one you are with. I know one couple where the woman has severe medical issues and cannot even sleep in the same bed with her husband. They have not had relations in a few years. They guy is so frustrated but is trapped because of his religion. Is he supposed to be celebate all his life?
People will judge you no matter what. Love the one you are with works if the one you are with is able to do the same. But, sometimes it is just not possible. Fortunately, I am not in that position and my famous wife is hot hot hot. You need to decide what you really want and are willing to live with and without. Then decide what you need to do because it is clear that you are missing something in your current rela.
