It really does not matter much. The ONLY reason they even beat us this year was because some of the defensive players called the team out during their bi week and the players responded. Not because of anything the coaches did. This should have been their year and they did not pull it off. Now they will be looking at a 2 loss year (maybe 3) and the Gators will begin another streak. So let this kid go where he wants to. Like WM has said "we only want the players that want to be Gators...".

As long as the Lake City High School has the Coach that played for FSU. UF will not get
any good players from there. I understand he works hard at talking his players out of
considering UF as a choice. If he can not get them to go to FSU then it is anywhere but UF.

No kid grows up being a Gator Fan then chooses the butt sniffers when he has the opportunity to be a Gator

There are lots of reports on twitter (SB Nation and JC Shurburtt from 247) that Tunsil may now be a strong Ole Miss lean. I know Freeze is supposed to be a great recruiter, but this is crazy. If they get Tunsil, they have a chance to land the top 3 overall prospects and potentially the #1 class.

Not a chance, imo. They still have a lot of typical non top 250 type recuits.

I agree, but they do have the potential to sign six 5 star players in Nkemdiche, Tunsil, Treadwell, Daniel, Jones (if he flips), and Connner. That's ridiculous. That's more than even USC or Bama.

Lake City is the biggest Gator town of any size outside of Gainesville. I've worked in Lake City and have alot of family there. I worked at the District Office of the DOT in Lake City in the '80s and we just about had to shut down the office for Gator Day every summer when the Gator coaches would come up for a round of golf and some bar-b-que.
It has long been a mystery why we get so few of the steady flow of top prospects that go to school at Columbia high there. It started WAY before they had a coach that went to fsu. It has been a constant since the early 1980s. Heck, Pat Summerall went to Arky in the 1950s. But we have gotten very few since 1980.
I can only think of one really top prospect, and he didn't really pan out. His name was Orr and he wore no. 22 for UF. ALL of their other top prospects since 1980 have either gone to fsu, scUM or UGA. We've gotten a few players here and there, and some of them even played some. One punter even made AA. But the top prospects, no.
Its sickening, really - and totally baffling.

I'm Calling BS on Hugh Freeze
This sudden shift in top recruits considering Ole Miss is an obvious example of under-the-table politics. I grew up an Ole Miss fan and still follow them closely. Even under the great USC recruiter Orgeron (remember, the only reason he was hired was his recruiting prowess), Ole Miss never had a class remotely similar to this. Remember, previous coaches like Tuberville, Orgeron, Cutcliffe, and Nutt were hoping simply to "build a fence" around Memphis. Now, they are poaching from every major football state in the Union.
When I was younger, Billy Brewer got fired after getting a very severe probation for, among other things, giving truck tires to a recruit I knew. The guy never panned out.
Those teams were lucky to go 6-5, the rare 9-3 year. So it's not like they got probation for pulling in top recruits.
I assure you it's not the allure of a new head coach who's previous experience was small-town Arkansas college sports and high school football that's drawing these kids in. It's not the long history of racial tolerance or lack of prejudice among the locals either. It's also not those humongous Confederate flags flying in every farmyard between Winona and Oxford, nor the students who clamor for their "Colonel Reb" mascot to come back. It's also not truck tires this time. If the NCAA isn't already investigating this, there's really no reason to even have an NCAA.

Too bad the NCAA is busy investigating...well the NCAA. After that whole Miami debacle, this is the perfect time for any recruiting improprieties that may be taking place in Oxford.

Also, he is dull and has no personality. Did you see his responses to the interview questions? Maximum response was 5 words..

Glad this kid who jerked us around goes somewhere that will never develop his potential, what a loser. If he came here he would have been a problem.
