Exactly! I'd rather (and I'm sure everyone else would as well, including you BLING) see Boynton work on his jumper in practice and focus on things like defense and getting to the FT line in games. Right now, he is not a good 3-Point shooter, which is okay, because we have a bunch of guys who are.

Said to say (write) but this is absolutely true.

Not to bring up the past misses (the ghosts of Werner and Walker, sorry) but this team is what it is. We can't manufacture different mindsets or players for the remainder of this season. I just hope that we get healthy for the NCAAs and then let the chips fall where they may.

And before the season started, I thought that having Prather in the starting lineup with Roz coming in for an offensive spark would be the best solution. Maybe that would get this team over the hump. I think that Scottie has played well enough to not need another offensive weapon out there. I prefer his maturing dribble penetration over Roz's 3s. JMHO

If Mike would not have played like he did last night, we would have lost by about 10 more points perhaps. I like him in the starting lineup

I always don't understand why someone has to start to contribute. Obviously that also includes Casey but what I am saying is that we recognize that we are a defensive minded team that embraces pressing and rebounding. Casey is better at that than Mike. Then we bring him in for a guard. If we decide that he is hot and we need his shooting over either Prather, Murphy, or Boynton then that is fine by me. I just think that establishes what our identity is as a team.

From the very small potentially silver lining department: as a streaky shooter, I don't really want Kenny hitting a hot streak in February. Hopefully we'll see him heat up sometime around Vandy.
