What I am continually amazed at is that these sudden events happen...and there are people EVERYWHERE with video cameras on to record it. I understand the rare news feed and something odd happens in the background, but it seems to me that the whole world is walking around with their cameras going just in case something happens.

No wonder there are so many auto accidents; they are predisposed to their movie making.

Many Russian drivers have dash cams in order to combat insurance fraud. One interesting fringe benefit of this practice is the large number of amazing driving videos that get uploaded to YouTube.

And meteor footage, of course.

No idea, but Newegg seems to have a small but reasonably-priced selection.
