IOS6 sucking the battery life from iPhone4s
I've done the basic searches to see if I can find some pertinent info to no avail except that it seems to be widespread. Looks like I may be waiting for a patch. I regret upgrading now and after hearing the problems people are having trying to downgrade, I think I will wait for the patch.

FWIW, I had a "battery drain" issue crop up on my 4S prior to my upgrading to iOS6. The phone would also get very warm on the back. I did some research and decided to try the old "backup/wipe/restore," and it worked for me. No more battery drain.
I later upgraded iOS6 and the phone is still working fine, no drain.

It could be related to an app you had installed. I have an Android based phone and when my OS got upgraded to the newest version it drained the battery and wouldn't let it charge. Turned out it was a task manager app that didn't like the new OS.

This happened to me. I didn't even check my phone all day (I'm normally always on my phone) and it drained to dead.

BTW they recommend that you don't install ios6 on 3g or 3gs at this time. Personally I wouldn't upgrade the first day its available. Too many problems. Let someone else be their "beta" tester.

So far the best advice I've gotten was to drain my battery completely and then let it fully charge. That seems to have helped a lot but it's still seems like it may by a little worse than it was before IOS6, but it's definitely tolerable now.

The main reason why I jailbroke is so I can use my phone as a wifi hotspot. I have unlimited data and I don't think Verizon should tell me how I can use my data the way I want to.

IT guy @ work showed me something the other day, it was like a case for the phone with a little battery plugged into the bottom of the iphone. He said whenever the battery started to die he just flicked the switch on the pack and it started to charge his phone. Maybe look into one? Doesn't add much to the length of the phone either. Got it off ebay, one of those massproduced chinese accessories probably

My bro in law has one of these. It basically gives you one full recharge. It makes the phone heavy though. (that's a dealbreaker for some)
