While I'm not sure where to find a breakdown of what the penalties per game were in the source he links to, he's right, your numbers are wrong.

You have that 0 offensive holding penalties were called against Bama in 2009. That's simply not true, even the articles making a big deal about how few holding penalties Bama was called for that season list a few that were called.

No I'm not. I'm talking about holding.

You can go to that website and under the "Team Reports" column, click Weekly Game Summaries, select whichever week you want (or change the year in the URL), click Alabama, click Drives/Play-by-plays, then View All Plays. Then simply do a CTRL+F "find" of the word penalty or holding and you will see the holding calls for every game.
